Father Broom in his Friday Evening Perseverance Group explains the call to the Priesthood. Every vocation story is unique…. and often men are called to the priesthood by the heroic example of other priests. The young actor/scholar/poet, Karol Wojtyla was called to the priesthood by the heroic example of St. Father Maximilian Kolbe.

We have a role in encouraging our sons, grandsons and other men we know to consider God’s call to the holy priesthood.

Father Ed Broom preaches on our need to convert…. to save our souls and then to save the souls of many others. We must all pray for our own conversion and the conversion of others just as St. Gemma Galgani did. He illustrates his point with many miraculous conversion stories.

Father Broom preaches on the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, July 16, 2012. The Brown Scapular of the Carmelite Order is the armor Mary has made for us – to protect us in all forms of spiritual battle. Carmelite Saint Simon Stock received this great gift from the hands of Mary.
