Maria Cogita! Maria Invoca!

This is the motto of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary.

Think of Mary! Call on Mary!

All the Saints follow this advice…..St. Augustine, St. Dominic, St. Francis, St. Bernard, St. Alphonsus, St. Teresa of Avila, and St. Ignatius. They each called on the Holy Name of Mary in a very specific way.

The Venerable Pio Bruno Lanteri (founder of the Oblates) called her Conqueror of All Heresies! She protects the Church from error and will do the same for us her children.

Father Broom preaches on the value of good example…. and the tragedy of scandal. When we give scandal (bad example) we weaken our relationship with God. We also weaken or sometimes destroy the relationship with God of the person to whom we gave scandal. The reparation we need to do for own sins is great…. but even more so for those whom we have misdirected by scandal.
Our Lord says if we give scandal to a child we win the millstone award… to be cast into the sea with a huge millstone around our neck.

Father Broom quotes St. John Marie Vianney: “God forbids us to worry. He commands us to pray”. If we pray well we wont worry…. if we worry we won’t pray well. Trust in God! Stop trying to run the universe and let God do His job.
