Father Broom talks on Mark 9
“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin,
it would be better for him if a great millstone were put around his neck
and he were thrown into the sea.”

This is one of the strongest warnings given by Christ in the Gospels.

If you cause someone weaker in faith than you (a little one – child or adult) to sin or lose their faith…… you won the millstone award… it would be better for you if a 1,500 pound millstone were tied around your neck and you were thrown in the ocean. Giving scandal is a serious sin.

Father Broom preaches on Ecclesiastes 3:1-10

What is the proper use of creation? Is it here to honor and glorify us? Or to help us to honor and glorify God? How can we use our time, talent and treasure for the greater honor and glory of God? Father Broom helps us examine ourselves on our use of God’s gifts.

SAINT VINCENT DEPAUL! LOVING THE POOREST OF THE POOR

Father Broom preaches on the great St. Vincent De Paul. Raised in poverty, he desired a brilliant career & worldly fame. God had other plans. He suffered greatly in young adulthood – He was kidnapped and enslaved by the Moslems for three years… After returning to France he was falsely accused of a major theft. After his exoneration he suffered a profound dark night of the soul. God was preparing him to suffer with the poorest of the poor.

His holiness was based on his deep friendship with Jesus Christ. He found Christ among the poor. He said “Love the poor and you will always love Jesus Christ for you will find him among the poor.”

Today he has achieved the ambitions of his youth… he had a brilliant career of helping the poor, founding two religious communities and his fame is known the world over and he is among the greatest in Heaven!
