HOLY MASS -What a privilege it is to attend! What happens at Mass? What should our attitude be? How can we be more reverent, more grateful, more
involved in this Gift of Gifts that Our Lord provided for us.

If we receive Jesus with true love and reverence in Holy Communion at Mass,
he will receive us into Heaven for all eternity.

“I HAVE COME TO SET THE EARTH ON FIRE, AND HOW I WISH IT WERE ALREADY BLAZING!” Jesus speaking to His disciples in Luke 12:49-53.

Father Broom preaches on this Gospel. Fire in the Bible and in the lives of the Saints means the consuming fire of God’s love and presence. Pray that we have the Fire of the Holy Spirit today.

Father Broom preaches on Luke 12:13-21 – The Parable of the Rich Fool. He put all his trust in his many possessions not in God. “What would it profit a man if he gained the whole world but lost his immortal soul?”

Where are our priorities… what or Who do we want to possess most of all? Father Broom shows us both manifestations of greed in ourselves and the remedies for overcoming it.

Yesterday’s Homily was on Envy – How well we recognize these Capital Sins in others…. but not in ourselves.

Father Broom teaches the parents of the Confirmation students in their every other week parent formation class.

This is the Year of Faith declared by Pope Benedict XVI. His Apostolic Letter declaring this year is “PORTA FIDEI” – The Door of Faith. We are to open the Door of Faith in this Year. The Holy Father says we open that door by studying the documents of Vatican Two and studying the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Our 1st purpose id to KNOW our faith. But the ultimate goal is to have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ and to fall in love with Him.

Father asks the parents to begin that program of study and to read Porta Fidei available here:
