Fr. Ed reminds us that life is short. We are here to know God, love God, serve God in this life and to be happy with him forever in heaven. SIN is the major road block for us to arrive at our final destiny. Fr. Ed gives a brief catechesis on the reality of mortal sin, the effects of sin and gives an introduction to the Rules of Discernment. Mortal sin is a sin we ourselves commit. To commit a mortal sin there have to be 3 conditions. 1) Grave matter; 2) Full knowledge (you know it) and 3) Full consent of the will.
