Father Broom talks about this greatest of virtues. To love God and to love neighbor are our mission. St. Augustine said “love God and do what you will”. If we truly love God we will praise Him, reverence Him , serve Him.
We will obey Him. We will be saved.

We can ask the Blessed Virgin Mary to help us to love as she did. When we receive Jesus Christ in the Eucharist we receive the greatest outpouring of God’s love for us.

Father Broom preaches on the Gospel Luke 7: 11-17. Jesus is moved with pity for the Widow of Naim whose only son has died. What compassion Our Lord has for her suffering and for ours.

Father Broom exhorts us to pray for the dead… the spiritually dead. he calls them the living dead. They are alive in their body but dead in their soul…. not attending Mass, living in fornication or adultery. Those who have turned their back on Christ are among the living dead. We must pray for them and sacrifice for them. We must beg Mary to help them return to life like the son of the widow of Naim.

CONTROLLING THE TONGUE | JAMES CHAPTER 3

Father Broom talks about the proper use of our tongue. We can build up and strengthen the Kingdom of God or we can tear it down with our tongue. We can praise God or we can would Him with our tongue.

Every day at Holy Mass our tongue becomes a throne for the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ received in Holy Communion. How sad it is to think of using that very same throne as a tool of cruelty, slander, gossip, or calumny. Our Blessed Mother only used her tongue to praise God, reverence God, and serve God. May she be our model always.

Father Broom explains the Seven Sorrows of Mary. Her heart was pierced seven times as if with seven swords. In her picture here we see those seven swords… her hands hold the three nails of the Holy Cross and we see the Crown of Thorns.
