Don’t we all believe the same things? NO! Father Broom in his homily highlights three of the critical differences between Catholicism and Protestantism.

1) The Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist – we have it – they don’t.

2) We are saved by Faith and Works – they only stress Faith – Once saved always saved is their motto but we work out our salvation in fear and trembling.

3) Purgatory – we believe in it and in praying for the dead, they don’t

St. Martin of Tours was converted from paganism because he was willing to help a poor freezing man by sharing his cloak with him. That poor man turned out to be Jesus Christ.
