Father Broom talks about the Year of faith. We are all called to study the four major documents of Vatican Two and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
But each of us has a specific charism within that call to study. Perhaps it is to study and learn more about the Sacraments, or Church history, or Apologetics. Some of us are called to learn all the Church teaches on Bio Ethics or Catechetics….Some of us are called to learn more about Mary and the Saints. The CCC gives a brilliant survey of the field of Moral Theology in its coverage of the Ten Commandments.
Some of us are called to learn more about Ingnatian Spirituality. We could spend time learning about other spiritual systems – Salesian, Carmelite, Franciscan etc.
We should each beg for the grace to use this Year of faith well and to discover our own individual charism… our own area of interest.
