Father Broom catechizes the parents of Confirmation students about the Feast Day of the Epiphany. What does it mean? Who are the Kings? Where do they travel from? What is their quest? Why do they adore the infant in Mary’s arms? What do their gifts mean? How do their gifts manifest for us who Jesus really is? Jesus is the Light to the Nations!

Father Broom talks to the Confirmation boys (mostly 9th graders) on the subject of sin, how to avoid temptation, and the consequences of our sins. The worst sinner can become the greatest saint if he accepts God’s Mercy and sets his mind to always “begin again”.

ASK SEEK KNOCK

Father Broom gives Points of Meditation at the beginning of our Holy Hour of Adoration before our Eucharistic Lord. His text is Matthew 7:7-8 – Ask and it will be given. Seek and you will find. Knock and it will be opened to you.

What three things can we ask for in this hour of silent prayer?

We can ask our Lord and the Holy Spirit to teach us to pray.

We can ask for the conversion of sinners as Our Lady of Fatima requested.

We can ask as St. Thomas Aquinas did: Lord help me to love you more and more each day.
