Father Broom speaks about St. Agnes who won the Crown of Virginity and the Crown of Martyrdom. She was martyred because she would not offend God or allow her virginity to be taken.

Jesus was the love of her life and he should be the love of ours.

Mary’s Powerful Intercession | Opening the Door to Heaven for Us!

Father Broom preaches on the Second Sunday of Ordinary Time – John 2:1-12 – The Wedding Feast at Cana. Who recognizes the problem? Mary! Who intercedes with Jesus to solve the problem? Mary? What a model for us. Go to Mary for your needs, for your problems, for help with your weaknesses.
She is the surest shortest and most direct path to the heart of her Son.

Father reminds us that the best way to pray for Mary’s sweet intercession in our lives is to pray the Rosary – especially the family rosary. If we please her with our daily rosary she will be waiting to open the door of Heaven to us when we die.

Friends of the Paralytic – Mark 2:1-12

Father Broom preaches on the friends of the paralytic. What an example these four anonymous friends are for us. The have compassion for their friend. It is an active determined compassion. They are willing to work hard and with creativity to ensure their friend sees Jesus. They didn’t just wish him well and go on their way.

They had great faith in Jesus and knew where their friend could find true healing. We should pray that we have their active compassion, their determination and their faith. We should bring all of our wounds and the wounds of our family to the altar to be healed by the Lord.
