One of the common themes of the Old Testament is to call the people back to the love of God – they lost their first love, such that they fell in love with idols. There are many more idols today than in the time of Moses. Father Ed Broom defines what an idol is and discusses some of the modern idols in our lives. Jesus says in Revelation 2:4 – “This I have against you, that you have lost your first love.”
