FATHER ED BROOM BEGINS WITH A PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT BY SAINT AUGUSTINE:

Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit,
That my thoughts may all be holy.
Act in me, O Holy Spirit,
That my work, too, may be holy.
Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit,
That I love but what is holy.
Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit,
To defend all that is holy.
Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit,
That I always may be holy.

May this prayer be our prayer every day! Father Ed reminds us that our sanctification depends upon the Holy Spirit. We’re all called to become saints and that depends upon the Holy Spirit. He asks us to accept that we really don’t know the Holy Spirit. That our relationship with Him is probably limited.  He asks us to be humble – like little children. He says let us pray that we have a deeper union with the Holy Spirit. His talk is comprised of 10 categories to help us delve into the mysteries of the Holy Spirit – to love the Holy Spirit and beg for the grace to be filled with the Holy Spirit through the intercession of Mary, Mystical Spouse of the Holy Spirit!
