Father Broom preaches on the Feast Day of St. Andrew the Apostle, November 30, 2012. Andrew was an apostolic live wire for bringing people to Christ. He brought his brother, Peter, the 1st Pope to Jesus. He had apostolic enthusiasm and creativity.
He suffered martyrdom by being crucfied on an X shaped cross. He hung there for three days and all the time was telling the watchers about the good news of Jesus Christ and salvation.
Today, let’s beg for the graces of Andrew… to be creative and enthusiastic in all of our apostolic work and to embrace our crosses with joy because we know that the last word is not defeat but VICTORY!
