Father Broom’s homily on June 7, 2012 – preaching on Mark 12:28-34.
“Which is the greatest of all the Commandments?” Father Ed suggests we make the Lord’s answer our daily prayer: Today I shall love the Lord my God with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my mind, and with all my strength. And today I shall love my neighbor as myself. What a powerful prayer…. and Father shows us that St. Thomas Aquinas lived this prayer and is a true model of love of God and neighbor.
Father Ed Broom, OMV, is Associate Pastor of St. Peter Chanel Church in Hawaiian Gardens, California. He is a member of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary and was ordained by Saint John Paul II on May 25, 1986.
