Father Ed Broom daily Mass homily on June 18, 2012.

The First Book of Kings 21:1-16 – The story of Naboth and his family vineyard
which King Ahab wanted for his own selfish greedy reasons…. he and his wife frame Naboth for a crime he didn’t commit…. he is stoned to death and Ahab can steal the vineyard.

Do we have greed or do we have magnanimity? Do we crave material goods we don’t even need like the rich King Ahab – the remedy is magnanimity – generosity with great courage.
