Father Broom gives us three intentions to beg for at every Mass.
The First is to pray for the souls in Purgatory. St. Nicholas of Tolentino was devoted to this intention.
The Second is to pray for the conversion of sinners – perhaps someone in our own family who is far from God.
The Third is to beg God for the grace of our own conversion… of our own transformation into a great saint.
Father Ed Broom OMV is a member of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary and is Associate Pastor at St. Peter Chanel Church in Hawaiian Gardens, California.
