Father Broom preaches on April 30 – the Feast Day of St. Pope Pius V. This heroic man implemented the Council of Trent. He led Catholics in praying the Rosary to save Europe from the overwhelming attack by the Moslems at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. Those prayers were answered on October 7, 1571, when the Turks were defeated by the far inferior naval forces of Europe.

Father Ed Broom OMV is a member of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary and is Associate Pastor at St. Peter Chanel Church in Hawaiian Gardens California.
