Father Ed preaches on the importance of making an act of perfect contrition every night before going to bed. Contrition may be either perfect or imperfect. Each night we should take a minute or two to think over the day, thank God for his blessings and ask forgiveness for our sins and failures, and pray for the grace to make a perfect act of contrition. While perfect contrition forgives all sins, it does not relieve us of the obligation to go to confession.
