Fr. Ed Broom speaks about the reality of trials and tribulations and the benefit that comes from them. All of us have experienced trials; not a few but many. And we will experience trials until we die. They come in many forms, shapes, circumstances and settings. The word of God says in Sirach 2,1: “My child, when you come to serve the Lord, prepare yourself for trials.”
When we have trials, we become more humble; we realize we are not in control of the situation. Once we go through them, we become more compassionate. We can offer our suffering for the conversion and salvation of sinners by uniting it to the sufferings of Christ. Do not see trials as a curse but as a blessing!
