GRACIAS A PEDIR:  

  1. ALEGARNOS Y GOZAR INTENSAMENTE… de tanta gloria y gozo de Cristo, nuestro Señor. (Ejercicios Espirituales #221) 
  2. Meditemos, “como la Divinidad que parecía esconderse en la pasión, aparece y se manifiesta ahora tan milagrosamente en la santísima resurrección, por los verdaderos y santos efectos de ella” (Ejercicios Espirituales #224)
  3. Por último, consideremos el “oficio de consolar que Cristo nuestro Señor trae, y comparando cómo unos amigos suelen consolar a otros.”  Consolar aquí quiere decir: reunir, liberar y enviar.  (Ejercicios Espirituales #224) 

SEXTO DÍA:  JESÚS Y PEDRO Y EL DISCÍPULO AMADO …  Juan 21, 15-25

  1. GRACIA A PEDIR: INTENSÍSIMO GOZO EN EL SEÑOR.  San Pablo dice a los Filipénses:  “Estén siempre alegres en el Señor, se lo repito, ¡estén alegres!” (Flp 4, 4)   Que el gozo del Señor sea nuestra fuerza – Libro de Nehemías.  En el Evangelio encontramos abundantes pasajes que señalan la importancia del gozo.  San Pablo siempre nos dice “Estén siempre alegres en el Señor, se lo repito, ¡estén alegres!” (Flp 4, 4)
  2. LA TRIPLE NEGACIÓN.  Pedro revive lo que pasó el Jueves Santo después de la Última Cena, su triple negación de Jesús   El dolor por haber traicionado el más grande amor, es intensísimo.  No puede borrarlo de su memoria.  Para él es como si acaba de pasar.  Cuan grande es el remordimiento que siente!
  3. VUESTRA TRIPLE NEGACIÓN.   Alguna vez ha hecho usted lo que Pedro, ha negado o traicionado a Jesús?   ¿Quizás más de una vez, o dos, o tres veces?   ¡Quizás pasa todos los días!  Acompañe usted a Jesús, póngase en el lugar de Pedro, camine sobre la orilla del mar de Galilea.  En verdad podríamos decir que TODOS los pecados se definen como “negar o rechazar la presencia y el amor de Jesús”.  La falla de Pedro en realidad es la nuestra, la mía y la de usted.  El Evangelio tomar vida para nosotros, es algo que debemos vivir usted y yo.  Porque Jesús es el mismo hoy, ayer y siempre.  (Libro de Apocalipsis)  
  4. JESÚS LE HACE ESTA PREGUNTA.  Jesús conociendo bien lo que guarda Pedro en su corazón y en su mente, con dulzura le hace esta pregunta conmovedora y profunda: “Pedro, ¿me amas?” Pedro responde: ¡Sí!  – Pero USTED es Pedro.  Jesús le pregunta a usted “___________ (su nombre) ¿me amas?   ¿Qué le contesta a Jesús? ¿Cómo está su amor por Jesús en este preciso momento?  ¿Su amor está tibio?  Está entre frio y caliente?  ¿Está como la veleta en Marzo que ni dos horas está quieta?  Honestamente, ¿cómo está su amor por Jesús? Es una pregunta sumamente importante, ¡quizás la pregunta más importante en su vida!  Quizás haya otra persona, lugar o circunstancia que este ocupando el lugar de Jesús, es decir, usted ama a Jesús, pero ama más a cierta persona, cierto lugar o circunstancia más que a EL!    
  5. ¿ME AMAS? Jesús persiste con la misma pregunta… “Pedro, me amas?”.  Y Pedro le contesta: “Sí, Señor, tú sabes que te quiero.”  Jesús le hace esta pregunta a usted por segunda vez.  Con los ojos imaginativos vea que Jesús lo mira a los ojos mientras le hace esta pregunta.  Contemple los ojos de Jesús.  ¿Qué efecto tienen sobre usted?  El Evangelio nos narra, que un día los ojos de Jesús vieron a Mateo, sentado al mostrador de los impuestos, y Mateo dejó TODO y siguió a Jesús.  Jesús vio a Zaqueo sentado sobre la rama de un arbol, y Zaqueo dijo que regresaría la mitad de su dinero a los pobres y cuatro veces más a quien había defraudado.  Jesús también vió a los ojos a la mujer adúltera y a la mujer que estaba cerca del pozo.  La mirada penetrante, profunda y transformadora de Jesús les cambió sus vidas.  Permita USTED que las palabras de Jesús – “______ (su nombre) me amas?”  y su mirada penetrante y transformadora llegue hasta lo más hondo de su ser y responda USTED a este llamado.  ¿Qué responde usted a Jesús al escuchar su llamado?
  6. ¿ME AMAS? – ¡POR TERCERA VEZ!  Pedro se entristece la tercera vez que Jesús le pregunta a si lo ama!  Pero es un “dolor” sano y provechoso.  Tras la triple negación de su Maestro, una triple afirmación de su amor era necesaria como satisfacción y reparación por su negación.  Nuestros actos tienen consecuencias.  Nuestros pecados – como los pecados de san Pedro – por justicia exigen el restablecimiento del orden destruido.  Al penitente se le da una penitencia que cumplir después de haber confesado sus pecados al sacerdote.  La penitencia es una forma de reparar por los pecados y por el dolor causado al Sacratísimo Corazón de Jesús.   ¡Hay buenas noticias!  La Palabra de Dios nos consuela con estas palabras:  ¡EL AMOR HACE PERDONAR UNA MULTITUD DE PECADOS!  Es más, san Pablo confirma:  “Donde abunda el pecado, sobreabunda la misericordia de Dios.”  A estas etapas de los Ejercicios Espirituales renueve de todo corazón el dolor por sus pecados y proponga con firmeza de espíritu, amar a Dios con todo el corazón, con toda su mente, con toda su alma y con todas sus fuerza.  ¡Afírmeselo a Jesús!  San Juan de la Cruz dice:  “Un solo acto de puro amor, vale más a sus divinos ojos que las obras más ostentosas!”  ¡Diga a Jesús cuánto lo ama, y cuánto más desea amarlo!
  7. APACIENTA MIS OVEJAS, APACIENTA MIS CORDEROS… Después de la triple afirmación de amor de Pedro, vemos la insondable misericordia de Jesús!  No solo vemos a Jesús perdonándole sino que Jesús le otorga a Pedro la responsabilidad suprema de ser Su successor – de ser el primer Papa.  Del punto de vista humano, pensaríamos: Pedro le falló a Jesus, no merece el puesto de successor.  Pero esa no es la perspectiva divina.  Jesús perdona, olvida y sepulta el pecado de Pedro en el océano infinito de su misericordia que es Su Corazón Misericordioso   Ciertas son las palabras de Jesús en el Diario de santa Faustina: El más grande pecador puede ser el más grande santo si tan solo ponen su confianza en Jesús.  JESÚS, EN TI CONFÍO!  Pedro nunca olvidaría las palabras y la encomienda de Jesús mientras caminaba con Él a la orilla del Mar.  Nunca olvidaría la pesca milagrosa y la comida que les preparó Jesús ese mismo día!  Lo que Pedro experiment fue el amor y la misericordia infinita de Jesús!
  8. ¡AHORA USTED!  Este paseo lo va a hacer usted.  Ya no es Pedro quién camina con Jesús, es USTED.  Jesús y usted van caminando sobre la orilla del mar y están platicando. Jesús se detiene y voltea hacia usted y le pregunta: “¿Verdaderamente me amas?”  ¿Qué le responderá?  Tal vez hay algo que todavía no ha resuelto que impide una entrega total.  ¿Talvez hay una llaga que no ha sanado, algún dolor que usted teme salga a la luz?  Este es el momento, ¡hoy ha llegado la salvación!  Contemple a la Persona de Cristo: Sus ojos puros, su mirada penetrante, su humildad, su sonrisa atrayente, un magnetismo irresistible.  No se resista, déjese ser atraído por Jesús, el Amor de los amores.  El profeta Hosea dice:  “Por eso ahora la voy a conquistar, la llevaré al desierto y allí le hablaré a su corazón.”
  9. APACIENTA MIS OVEJAS/CORDEROS… Pedro recibe de Jesús el perdón total y le es dado una misión que realizar.  Y en los Hechos de los Apóstoles leemes que en verdad llevó a cabo esta misión.  El libro de los Hechos de los Apóstoles no narra la muerte de Pedro pero de acuerdo a la tradición, Pedro murió como Jesús – por crucifixión – en los tiempos del malvado Emperador Nerón.  Pero pidió ser crucificado de cabeza, porque no se sentía digno de morir como su Maestro.  ¡Qué humildad!  

 Conforme llegan a su fin los Ejercicios Espirituales, igual que a san Pedro, se le encomendará a usted llevar acabo una misión.  Jesús ahora le habla a usted y le dice: “apacienta mis ovejas, apacienta mis corderos.” Rememorize la contemplación del Llamado del Rey.  En esta contemplación usted pidio no ser sordo al llamamiento del Rey eterno.  El Rey eterno le está llamando a que apaciente sus ovejas.  El Rey le pide que sea un buen pastor a las ovejas del rebaño que le ha encomendado.  Pero para ser buenos pastores de nuestro rebaño, primero debemos ser buenas ovejas del BUEN PASTOR!   Este es el debido orden.  Oremos:  “Habla Señor que tu siervo escucha.”

10. SAN JUAN – EL DISCÍPULO AMADO.  Mientras Jesús y Pedro iban caminando, el discípulo amado les acompañaba unos pasos atrás.  Acompañe a san Juan, el discípulo amado que le ayude a amar más a Jesús.  En la Última Cena, san Juan recline su cabeza sobre el Sagrado Corazón de Jesús y escucho los latidos de amor – ahora usted está llamado a hacer lo mismo.  San Juan estuvo al pie de la cruz con la Santísima Virgen María y Magadalena.  De todos los Apóstoles, él fue el más fiel.  Él acompañó y sufrió con Jesús hasta el final.  Es más, al pie de la cruz Nuestro Señor dió a su Santísima Madre a san Juan.  El llamado es para usted.  Jesús quire que usted tenga una verdadera devoción a María porque María en verdad es su Madre.   Revivamos el gran momento que se llevó acabo mientras Jesús cuelga de la cruz.  En ese momento, poco después de que Jesús expirara, un soldado desenvainó su lanza y traspasó con fuerza en el costado de Jesús quien colgaba de la cruz.  Las Sagradas Escrituras atestiguan diciendo:  “Sangre y agua brotaron de su costado abierto”.  Los Iglesia nos enseña en sus documentos, que el brotar de Sangre y Agua simboliza el inicio de la vida Sacramental de la Iglesia!  Contemple la imagen de la Divina Misericordia.  Vea y medite sobre los dos rayos, el rayo claro y el rayo rojo, que imanan del costado de Cristo.  El rayo blanco simboliza el sacramento del Bautismo y el sacramento de la Confesión.  El rojo es simbólico del más grande sacramento – la Santa Eucaristía, que es el Cuerpo, Sangre, Alma y Divinidad de Jesucristo nuestro Señor y Salvador.  ¡La coronilla de la Divina Misericordia lo envuelve todo!  Pida a san Juan, el discípulo amado y a nuestra Madre Santísima que le alcancen la gracia de tener una profunda amistad y amor por Jesús.  Como nos dice san Pablo:  “Ahora, pues, son válidas la fe, la esperanza y el amor; las tres, pero la mayor de estas tres es el amor.” (1 Cor 13,13).
