Podemos tomar el ‟caminito” de santa Teresita para llegar a la santidad. Porque la santidad no depende en fenómenos extraordinarios sino en la intensidad del amor que acompaña la obra.
O sea, el secreto de la santidad se basa en «hacer de manera extraordinaria las cosas
más ordinarias.» ¡Este es el secreto! Santa Teresita solía decir:‟Recoger una paja o un alfiler por amor a Dios y salvar un alma.” Meramente, el acto de recoger un alfiler no es gran cosa. Pero si se hace con la intención de agradar a Dios y pureza de intención entonces ante los ojos de Dios tiene un valor infinito.
La mayoría de nosotros no estamos involucrados en empresas monumentales o iniciativas gigantescas que saldrán en la portada de los diarios. Mas bien, hacemos cosas ordinarias todos los días. Pero estas mismas cosas pueden tener un valor infinito si tan solo las ofrecemos a Dios.
UNA AMA DE CASA. Generalmente no llegamos a saber de los quehaceres de una ama de casa en el noticiero de las 6:00. Su rutina gloriosa y quehaceres cotidianos son: barrer, trapear, sacar la basura, ir por el mandado, preparar o servir los alimentos y limpiar la loza después la cena. Pero para quién lo hace quejándose y con el ceño fruncido, su trabajo no tiene mérito ante Dios, más bien se reduce a nada.
Ahora, si al despertar ella hace su ofrecimiento del día y ofrece todo a Jesús por medio del Inmaculado Corazón de María entonces todo lo que hace será agradable a Dios. Su trabajo la santificará, santificará a su familia, se salvarán almas y su trabajo tendrá gran valor.
Dos cosas son necesarias para que el trabajo cotidiano tenga este valor infinito. Primero, hagamos todo por medio de la poderosa intercesión de María quien es la ‟Obra Maestra de la creación” y segundo, unamos nuestras obras al Santo Sacrificio de la Misa.
Lo mismo sucede con nosotros. La manzana magullada son nuestros obras. Todo lo que hacemos por bueno que sea, lo contaminamos con nuestro orgullo, nuestro amor propio y nuestro egoísmo. Pero, si entregamos todo nuestro ser y nuestras obras a Jesús por manos de la Reina, entonces el Jesús el Rey de reyes y Señor de señores no lo rechazará. María enoblece y santifica hasta las cosas más pequeñas.
Ahora, ¿cómo podemos aplicar este principio de lo místico a lo práctico? ¡No es difícil ! Cuando vayamos a Misa, lleguemos por lo menos 15 minutos antes de que comienzo.
La clave es colocar todo sobre el altar antes de que comience la Santa Misa. Ofrezcamos todo nuestro ser, todo lo que somos, todo lo que hacemos al Padre Eterno. No desperdiciemos ni un solo instante, entreguemos a nuestra familia y a nuestros seres queridos porque Jesús así lo desea. Para Jesús todo es importante, nada pasa desapercibido. Él conoce cuantos cabellos tenemos en la cabeza. Es verdad, Jesús cuida de todo el mundo, ¡pero Jesús cuida especialmente de TI!
Así, en el Santo Sacrificio de la Misa, especialmente en la Consagración del Cuerpo y Sangre de Cristo, hemos colocado todo sobre el altar, y cuando el sacerdote eleva la Hostia al trono de Dios, nos eleva también a nosotros. El Padre Eterno nos ve por medio de su Hijo amado en quien tiene todas sus complacencias. ¡Y el Padre Eterno no negará nada a su HIJO!
Pero el momento en que recibimos la Santa Comunión es el momento más importante. Es en ese momento que recibimos a Jesús en el fondo de nuestra alma. Si comulgamos con la debida disposición interior y un corazón lleno de amor por Jesús recibiremos una abundancia de gracias. Las cosas pequeñas que hacemos tendrán un valor infinito porque se las hemos ofrecido al Padre Eterno mediante el Corazón amoroso de Jesús.
Aprendamos el arte de la santidad. No se trata de grandes obras sino de la pureza de la intención que las acompaña. Ofrezcamos a Dios todo nuestro ser mediante el puro e Inmaculado corazón de María y Jesús la Víctima sin mancha que se ofrece a Dios en el Santo Sacrificio de la Misa.
