HIJO PRÓDIGO /PADRE MISERICORDIOSO. Maestro de todos los contadores de historias, ninguno como Jesús Nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo, nadie ha llegado o llegará a acercarse a la experiencia de Jesús al enseñar, pero sobretodo en el “arte” de contar historias. El nombre de las historias poderosamente eficaces es, las PARÁBOLAS. Una definición breve, pero eficaz de una parábola es, «Una historia terrenal, con un mensaje celestial.» (Pastor Adrián Rogers). El sembrador y la semilla, los Talentos, las Vírgenes sabias y tontas, el Buen Samaritano, la Oveja perdida, se encuentran entre estas obras literarias utilizadas por el «maestro»–Jesús, el maestro–para comunicar verdades eternas! Sin embargo, el clásico y sin duda la mejor de todas las parábolas de Jesús es, la «Parábola del Hijo Pródigo», que también podría ser titulada, «La Parábola del Padre Misericordioso»–centrándose más, en la «Misericordia» del Padre por encima, de la «miseria» del hijo! En realidad la palabra «Misericordia» en inglés, traducida en Misericordia en los idiomas latinos significa precisamente eso: la miseria del hombre (su pecado), se encuentra con el abrazo amoroso, del corazón de Dios; “cordia”, quiere decir Corazón! El Evangelio de San Lucas es reconocido por la manifestación de la misericordia. Sin embargo, la perla de todos los capítulos de la misericordia es, Lucas 15. En esta obra maestra de la literatura espiritual, Jesús ofrece al mundo tres parábolas, todas estas son relacionadas, y de hecho puede ser llamado, «El capítulo de lo perdido y encontrado”. (Fr. Al Hall, OMV) ¿Por qué? Por la sencilla razón de que estas tres parábolas tratan de ambas cosas, lo encontrado y lo «perdido». La oveja perdida, buscada y encontrada por el pastor amoroso y preocupado; la moneda perdida, barrida, encontrada y obtenida por la mujer diligente; y por último, el hijo perdido, encontrado y abrazado por el padre—la parábola del hijo pródigo. Por lo tanto, con la gracia de la ayuda de Dios, tenemos que deshacer, desempaquetar, desentrañar, las piedras preciosas que aguardan para nosotros en la «Parábola del Hijo Pródigo y la Parábola del Padre Misericordioso». 1. SOLICITUD DE HIJO JOVEN. «Dame la herencia». Un contundente delito, incluso insulto al padre. ¿Por qué? La herencia normalmente vendría después, de la muerte del padre. El hijo egoísta le importo aun más, el dinero, la diversión, el placer y el pecado, que la persona de su «Padre» que le dio la vida, los alimentos, ropa, vivienda y básicamente todo lo que él, tenia! La esencia del pecado es «ingratitud». Shakespeare agudamente señaló: «más doloroso que el diente de la serpiente es, el niño desagradecido». 2. LIBERTAD. El Padre respeta la libertad y la libertad de su hijo, quien en realidad ama tanto pero no intimida su libertad y fuerza el amor. La esencia del pecado es también el «abuso» de nuestra libertad. Recuerda la canción: «Como las lágrimas del payaso cuando nadie está alrededor.» 5. ABSOLUTA POBREZA Y MISERIA. El pobre hijo—pobre espiritualmente, moralmente, socialmente y ahora incluso económicamente–es reducido a la extrema miseria. Jesús retrata esto, magistralmente, sumergiendo el hijo en medio de un manada de cerdos, que disfrutaban de la vida más que el! También, para los judíos, el cerdo era considerado un animal impuro, inmundo, intocable; no sólo eso sino, el puerco/ carne de cerdo, estaba contra la ley dietética judía/kosher! El mensaje! Pecado denigra, pierde, disminuye, rebaja a la persona humana a un nivel que desciende más allá del nivel animal. Los animales simplemente siguen su instinto! El hombre, es creado a imagen y semejanza de Dios, e hijo de Dios a través de la gracia, debe seguir la fe guiada por la razón!
6. MOMENTO DE CONVERSIÓN: EXAMEN DE CONCIENCIA. Por último, recapacitando el hijo miserable, comienza a examinar su conciencia, para examinar su vida. Compara! Su vida en casa con su Padre y su familia, hace contraste con, su libertina y vida infeliz, en tierra extranjera, mujeres fáciles y ahora con los cerdos! Antes, la felicidad y la paz; mas tarde, tristeza, dolor y miseria! La razón! Primero, la vida de gracia; lo último, la vida de pecado!
7. LA DECISIÓN Y LA CONVERSIÓN. Él, vive un arrepentimiento y se formula su propio acto de contrición «Padre he pecado contra el cielo y contra ti. Ya no soy digno de ser llamado tu hijo; trátame, como uno de tus jornaleros… En las profundidades de su corazón, él está listo para cambiar y dejar su pasado pecaminoso!
8. EL RETORNO. Imagina el regreso! Posiblemente cada día el padre amoroso, misericordioso y paciente, habría de subir la colina, lo buscaba con la mirada, lo observaba desde la distancia con la esperanza de ver a su hijo perdido. Finalmente llega el día! Sin embargo, el padre presta atención en la distancia y ve una figura que recuerda un poco a su hijo, pero más aún, es diferente de su hijo. Acercándose el padre, es un hombre joven (pero aparece mucho más viejo), consumido, despeinado el cabello, la barba larga y enmarañada, ropa despedazada, cayendo desde el cuerpo a su andar—no flexible–pero lento, tentativo y tropezando! ¿Este podría ser su hijo? Como la distancia se hace mas corta, el padre se convence de que este, es su hijo, transformado, bastante deforme debido, a una vida poco saludable.
9. CERTEZA! El Padre esta seguro; de hecho, este es su hijo revoltoso! Tras la reunión, el hijo pródigo, quien había estado practicando su acto de contrición todo el tiempo, comienza a recitar su acto de dolor. El padre, sin embargo, totalmente ajeno a las palabras del hijo desobediente, ya le ha perdonado una y mil veces en lo más profundo de su corazón!
10. PERDÓN DEL PADRE: EL PERDÓN DE DIOS. D.) NUEVO MANTO Y TÚNICA. Simboliza la Gracia Santificante. Adán y Eva pecaron y reconocieron que estaban desnudos. El orgullo nos ciega a la bondad en otros; endurece nuestros corazones; deja afuera a Dios, hace que nuestro corazón se reduzca, comprima y muera!
12. EL HIJO PRÓDIGO! El Papa Juan Pablo II en su obra maestra, su encíclica sobre el hijo pródigo, «Dives Misericordia»—Dios es rico en misericordia, nos da la interpretación más simple pero más cierta! Cada uno de nosotros, todos nosotros hijos e hijas de Adán y Eva, somos realmente, el «hijo pródigo»! ¿Por qué? Por la razón simple y clara que entramos en el mundo como pecadores, somos pecadores, cometemos muchos pecados y caemos con demasiada frecuencia. Incluso el hombre justo cae siete veces al día! Sin embargo, Dios es misericordioso y siempre listo y dispuesto a perdonarnos!
13. EL PADRE. La parábola podría llamarse la «Parábola del hijo pródigo» o «La parábola del Padre Misericordioso». Juan Pablo Magno, expresa el hecho de que el «Padre» en la parábola no es otro que nuestro «Padre Celestial». De hecho, la mayor virtud o atributo de Dios Padre, es Su Misericordia!!! el Los pecadores mayores pueden ser, los mas grandes santos bajo una condición: Creer firmemente en la infinita, insondable, eterna y amorosa misericordia de Dios! ¿De hecho, que es «misericordia»? Nada menos que, EL AMOR DE DIOS, PERDONANDO AL PECADOR ARREPENTIDO!
14. NUESTRA ACTITUD!
