SIN IS SAYING “NO” TO GOD!

Lucifer was an angel in heaven who said “No” to God, “Non Serviam”–I will not serve! Lucifer, and the angels who followed him, were cast out of heaven into hell. We know him as the Devil. In the Garden of Eden, the Devil appeared as a serpent and tempted Eve to say “No” to God, to disobey God’s one and only command: God forbade them to eat the fruit of the tree in the middle of the Garden. Eve ate the fruit and then gave the fruit to Adam who also ate it. Like the fallen angels, they chose to say “No” to God and the gates of Heaven were closed to them and all their children.

Jesus came as our Savior! Until the end of time the Devil is wrestling Jesus for our souls: the devil tempting us to sin and Jesus calling us to repent and receive His merciful forgiveness. The choice is ours! God doesn’t send anyone to hell! We send ourselves by the choices we make!
