Father Broom preaches on the value of good example…. and the tragedy of scandal. When we give scandal (bad example) we weaken our relationship with God. We also weaken or sometimes destroy the relationship with God of the person to whom we gave scandal. The reparation we need to do for own sins is great…. but even more so for those whom we have misdirected by scandal.
Our Lord says if we give scandal to a child we win the millstone award… to be cast into the sea with a huge millstone around our neck.
