Father Broom welcomes our new Holy Father as a man of deep prayer, moral strength and firm courage. His voice will be the only one opposing the homosexual agenda, the proliferation of abortion, human trafficking, the promotion of contraception and the malignant spread of pornography throughout the world.

We must defend him, be loyal to him, love him, and pray for him every day.

Father Ed Broom OMV is a member of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary and is Associate Pastor at St. Peter Chanel Church in Hawaiian Gardens California.

Father Broom welcomes our new holy Father by retelling the story of the most famous dream of St, John Bosco. In the dream a ship representing the Church and captained by the Holy Father is almost being destroyed by a violent sea and enemy ships. The Holy Father steers the ship to safe harbor (Heaven) by mooring the ship to two pillars – one is Mary and the other is the Eucharist.

If we want safety and salvation we must stay in the boat of Peter and focus on Christ and Mary.

Father Broom gives a short homily on the Parable in Lk 18 of the Pharisee and the Publican praying. The Publican went home justified because his prayer was humble. Lord be Merciful to me a sinner.
