QUINTO DÍA: PECADO & MISERICORDIA – La mujer sorprendida en adulterio (Jn 8)
GRACIAS A PEDIR: Confiar en la misericordia de Dios…
1.CASTIGO POR ADULTERIO. Según a la ley mosaica una mujer sorprendida en adulterio debía morir apedreada. No cabe la menor duda, la mujer en el Evangelio había sido sorprendida en el acto mismo de adulterio.
2. JESÚS LA AUXILIA. Los Fariseos tienden una trampa a Jesús, le ponen a prueba para ver su reacción…
3. JESÚS ESCRIBE. Este pasaje – Juan 8 – es el único en toda la Biblia en donde Jesús escribe. Jesús se inclina y se pone a escribir con el dedo en la arena. ¿Qué piensa que escribió?
4. COMENTARIO DEL ARZOBISPO SHEEN. El Arzobispo Fulton J. Sheen, en una de sus reflexiónes escribe: “Jesús escribía los nombres de aquellos hombres que habían condenado a la mujer y al lado de sus nombres, los pecados de cada uno.” ¡Estaban prestos para condenarla pero renuentes a ver sus pecados!
5. ORGULLO Y CEGUERA. ¿Cuántas veces hemos cedido a esta hipocresía? Es fácil acusar a otros, señalarlos con el dedo y condenarlos, ¡pero en realidad somos nosotros los que tenemos pecados más graves! ¡Estamos ciegos a nuestros pecados, nuestros defectos y nuestros malos hábitos!
6. PALABRAS DE JESÚS. “El que esté libre de pecado, que arroje la primera piedra”… y uno por uno, todos se retiran comenzando por los más ancianos. Todos hemos pecado y nos hemos quedado cortos de la gloria de Dios, sólo Jesús y María están libres de todo pecado. Imploremos a Dios que nos conceda la gracia de ser humildes, de reconocer, admitir y confesar nuestros pecados. ¡Confiemos siempre en la misericordia de Jesús
7. PASIÓN DE CRISTO. Traiga a la mente la escena bíblica presentada por el magistral cineasta Mel Gibson… Vemos a una mujer postrada en el suelo, con lágrimas en los ojos y el corazón destrozado, lentamente acerca su mano y toca las sandalias de Jesús…
8. PERDÓN Y MISERICORDIA. Al igual que a la mujer en el pozo, Jesús perdona los pecados de la mujer adúltera. El corazón que busca la misericordia y el perdón la recibe en abundancia. Jesús es verdaderamente rico en misericordia y la extiende con abundancia.
9. ARRPENTIMIENTO Y FIRME PROPÓSITO DE ENMIENDA. Veamos este punto interesante: Jesús perdona a esta mujer pero la despide con estas palabras “Vete, y en adelante no peques más”. (Jn 8, 11) Jesús le dice a ella y a nosotros, que Él nos perdona siempre, incluso perdona los pecados más graves, pero debemos estar verdaderamente arrepentidos, hacer el firme próposito de no volver a cometerlos y evitar el pecado, así como la ocasión próxima del pecado.
10. EVITAR EL PECADO. Examinemos nuestra conciencia y rebobinemos la película de nuestra vida y con reconozcamos nuestros pecados. Con este conocimiento evitemos cualquier persona, lugar u objeto que nos lleve a pecar – dicho de otro modo, evitemos la ocasión próxima del pecado. A menudo volvemos a caer en nuestro pecado porque no evitamos el peligro, como en el caso de Eva que se acercó a la fruta prohibida.
11. COLOQUIO. ¡Hable con el Espíritu Santo! ¡Pídale que abra sus ojos y su corazón para poder ver cómo evitar la ocasión del pecado. ¡Decídase ahora mismo! ¡Tenga un plan de acción y tenga fe que podrá llevarlo a cabo con la gracia de Dios!
