¿CONFUSIÓN RESPECTO A LA CONFESIÓN?

El pecado entró al
mundo debido al pecado de nuestros primeros padres, Adán y Eva.  Entre los efectos negativos está el
oscurecimiento del intelecto y la confusión.

Con la construcción
de la torre de Babel, más confusión entró al mundo.  Esta vez, con la confusión de
idiomas.  Todos hablaban sin entenderse, dejando en su paso sólo incomprensión.

RELATIVISMO
MORAL.  Hoy muchos rechazan la autoridad
moral de la Iglesia, el Magisterio y el Papa; abriéndole el paso al relativismo moral y a más confusión.

Esta corta exposición responde a otra crisis: la pérdida del sentido del pecado, la falta
de formación de la conciencia y el gran descenso en la recepción del Sacramento de
la confesión.  Con qué resonancia suenan
las imperecederas palabras del papa Pío XII: «El pecado del siglo es la
pérdida del sentido del pecado».  
Abordemos, entonces, el tema de la confesión y los argumentos en defensa de
tan gran Sacramento.
TÍPICAS PROTESTAS CONTRA EL SACRAMENTO DE LA CONFESIÓN.

1. «ES UNA
INVENCIÓN DEL HOMBRE, ¿EN QUÉ PARTE DE LA BIBLIA SE ENCUENTRA?»  ¡Incorrecto! 
No es una invención del hombre.  Jesús, el Hijo de Dios, el Médico divino  instituyó
este gran Sacramento (Jn 20, 21-23).  Jesús
sopló sobre sus Apóstoles y les dijo:  «Recibid el Espíritu Santo.  A quienes perdonéis los pecados, les quedan
perdonados; a quién se los retengáis, les quedan retenidos.»  Jesús en efecto perdona, pero mediante la
persona del sacerdote. 

2.  »SIEMPRE CONFIESO LO MISMO.»  Quizás sea cierto, pero a Dios gracias, no
está cometiendo otros pecados.  Para
recibir los sacramentos y recibir mayores gracias, es necesario entender un elemento
clave de teología Sacramental.  El
concepto de »disposición a la gracia»; se reciben gracias según la
disposición de la persona.  Entre mayor sea la
disposición del alma a Dios, mayor la gracia recibida.  Quizás sí esté cometiendo los mismos pecados,
pero con menos gravedad y menos frecuencia! 
¡Bravo!  Hay mejoría.  Esto es el Principio de Gradualidad-  con la gracia de Dios, gradualmente la gravedad del pecado va en descenso y con menos frecuencia.  Los Italianos tienen un dicho:  »Roma no fue fatto en un giorno.»  »Roma no se construyo en un día», e igual no
podemos ser santos ¡de la noche a la mañana! 
Esto sería querer una espiritualidad de »micro-ondas», querer ser
santo en un instante.  ¡Pero no es así de
fácil!

3.  »EL SACERDOTE NO ME ENTENDERÁ.»  El sacerdote actúa en persona de Cristo.  Él ha recibido el sacramento de la Orden Sacerdotal.  Él es médico del
alma.  Escribe santa Faustina en su
diario, que en una ocasión, después de haber ido a confesarse, salió del
confesionario en un estado de confusión. 
Jesús le reveló, que no había rezado por el sacerdote antes de entrar al
confesionario.  Acostumbre rezar por él
antes de entrar al confesionario, podría incluso rezar a su ángel de la
guarda.  ¡Todo marchará más suavemente!

4.  »SE ME OLVIDAN MIS PECADOS; LA MENTE SE ME
PONE EN BLANCO.»  Usted no es ni la primera
ni la última persona a quién esto le pasa. 
Le ofrezco este consejo.  Anote
sus pecados en una hoja de papel como ayudamemoría.  ¡Si lo hace, no habrá forma de olvidar!

5.  »SE ME TRABA LA LENGUA Y ME QUEDO
MUDO.»  Rece al Espíritu Santo.  El día de Pentecostés, el Espíritu Santo dio a los Apóstoles el don de la palabra – en particular a Pedro, quién había negado a Jesús tres
veces.  El Espíritu Santo nos da la gracia de honestidad, sinceridad y nos da luces para poder expresar nuestros más íntimos
pensamientos y por supuesto, nuestros pecados. 

6.  »VERGÜENZA»  Cuando se comente un pecado no da vergüenza. 
Es interesante lo que el diablo hace por obstaculizar nuestra
salvación e impedir que recibamos la gracia de Dios. 
Cuando pecamos, el diablo nos quita toda vergüenza.  Sin embargo, cuando se trata de confesar
nuestros pecados, el diablo nos llena de una vergüenza que nos paraliza.  ¡Pidale al Señor fuerza interior!

7.  »El SACERDOTE LO DIVULGARÁ!»  ¡No es cierto!  Al contrario, el sacerdote está obligado
a mantener secreto sin excepción, lo que se llama «sigilo
sacramental».  Todo lo que el penitente confiesa queda
«sellado» por el sacramento. 
Concretamente, esto significa que el sacerdote nunca puede revelar
pecados confesados, aún cuando le cueste su propia vida.  En la historia de la Iglesia han
habido sacerdotes quienes han muerto mártires por defender el sello de la
confesión.  Entre los más reconocidos
está SAN JUAN NEPOMUCENE.

8.  «¡MAÑANA!»  Entre las grandes victorias del diablo está convencernos que tenemos larga vida por delante y que podemos dejar la
confesión para mañana.  PREGUNTA:  Si su casa se
estuviese quemando ¿se quedaría usted sin hacer nada?  Si su hijo sin querer se envenena, ¿se quedaría usted de manos cruzadas?  Si pisase un clavo oxidado, ¿lo dejaría usted así hasta mañana?  ¡Claro que no!  Estas situaciones requieren de atención
inmediata, porque de lo contrario habrá graves o fatales consecuencias. De la
misma manera, si cometemos algun pecado mortal, debemos reconciliarnos con Dios
cuanto antes.  El beato Papa Juan Pablo
II llama al pecado mortal «suicidio moral».  No debemos jugar a la ruleta rusa con la salvación de nuestra alma. 
Sólo vivimos una vez y tenemos una sola alma que salvar.  Nuestro objetivo principal es ¡la
salvación de nuestra alma!

9.  «¡NO ME SE LOS MANDAMIENTOS!»  El éxito de una buena confesión depende de la
preparación previa.  Hasta se podría
decir, que el noventa y nueve por ciento de una buena confesión se logra con la
preparación que se hace antes de entrar al confesionario.  Consiga un manual de examen de
conciencia que de una explicación clara de los diez mandamientos.  Vea el Manual de examen de consciencia que publiqué.

10.  «SIEMPRE SE ME OLVIDAN LOS PASOS PARA HACER UNA BUENA CONFESIÓN.» 
Bueno, trate de memorizarlos.  Los
pasos son sencillos:              

    1.  Examen de Conciencia.

    2.  Pena por nuestros pecados.
    3.  Firme propósito de enmienda.
    4.  Confesión de los pecados al sacerdote.
    5.  Cumplir la penitencia.

Hemos dado las
objeciones más comunes a la confesión. 
Ahora como punto de motivación, se enumeraran los frutos que se reciben
de hacer una buena confesión.  Estos
frutos están disponibles para su libre tomar.

1.  AMISTAD CON JESÚS.  El pecado mortal rompe la amistad con Jesus,
pero después de una confesion sacramental, la amistad se restaura!

2.  AUMENTA LA GRACIA SANTIFICANTE.  Cada vez que
hacemos una buena confesión, ¡crecemos en gracia santificante!

3.  HUMILDAD.  Requiere humildad para ir a confesarse.  Jesús ama un corazón humilde. 

4.  ESCUDO CONTRA EL DEMONIO.  El diablo está constantemente atacándonos con
dardos de fuego.  La confesión sirve
como un escudo de protección contra las asechanzas del diablo.

5.  MEDICINA PREVENTIVA.  Aun cuando el penitente confiesa pecados
veniales, la confesión sirve como medicina espiritual preventiave a futuras
enfermedades morales.  Porque en verdad el
pecado es enfermedad del alma.

6.   GRACIA QUE SANA.  En la Sagrada Comunión la gracia sacramental
recibida es alimentación espiritual.  En
el Sacramento de la confesión, la gracia recibida es sanación del alma
enferma.  ¡Jesús vino a sanar a los que sufren de lepra del cuerpo y alma.

7.  COMUNIONES FERVIENTES.  San Ignacio dice que hay una estrecha
relación entre el Sacramento de la confesión y la Santa Comunión.  La confesión purifica el alma y la dispone
para recibir a Jesús con mayor pureza y amor. 

8.  PAZ EN EL ALMA.  El pecado roba la paz interior.  Una confesión bien hecha restaura la paz en
el alma.   De esta forma seremos un «shalom» andando –  ¡la paz sea
con vosotros!

9.  AUTO CONOCIMIENTO.  Cuando somos honestos con nuestro confesor, ponemos atencion y buscamos consejo, crecemos en auto
conocimiento.  En la vida espiritual, ¡es
indispensable conocernos a nosotros mismos para crecer en santidad!

10.  CIELO. 
La confesión frecuente nos libra del pecado, nos libra de vicios y forma
en nosotros de forma permanente, una actitud de humildad, contrición y
arrepentimiento.   Esta disposición del
alma agrada a Dios, y Él estará listo para acogernos en el cielo como al hijo
prodigo.
