LA TRANSFIGURACION | EJERCICIOS ESPIRITUALES | 2 JUNIO 2020

GRACIA A PEDIR: 

  • Conocer más íntimamente a Jesús, para amarle más ardientemente, y seguirle.
  • Tener una amistad profunda y permanente con Jesús.

CUARTO DÍA:  LA TRANSFIGURACIÓN…   Mt 17, 1-8

1. GRACIA A PEDIR.  La gracia de conocer íntimamente a Jesús, para amarlo más ardientemente y seguirlo, y esta vez subir la montaña de la Transfiguración con Jesús, Pedro, Santiago y Juan.  ¡Caminaremos y subiremos la montaña con Nuestro Señor!

2. SUBAMOS EL CERRO.  Jesús invita y reta a todos a subir la montaña, no solamente de forma física, sino a escalar hasta la cumbre, las alturas de la santidad.  Es posible alcanzar la cumbre de la santidad si Jesús es nuestro acompañante en nuestro ascenso.  Pero tengamos presente, que al llegar a la cumbre de una montaña, habrá otra montaña que escalar y otra cumbre que alcanzar.  No pararemos hasta llegar a la cumbre más alta que es el cielo.  Pero no olvidemos que no escalamos solos, sino con el alpinista y escalador más grande, ¡Jesús!

3. AMISTAD CON JESÚS.  Jesús que es Dios omnipotente (todopoderoso), omnisciente (todo lo sabe) y omnipresente (presente en todas partes), pudo haber salvado el mundo de otra forma.  Pero en la economía divina de la salvación, quiso hacerse hombre semejante a nosotros en todo menos el pecado.  Quiso venir al mundo por medio de una familia y unirse a un grupo de amigos que conocemos como los Apóstoles.  Jesús en la Última Cena llamó AMIGOS a sus Apóstoles.  Y dentro de este grupo de amigos, había tres predilectos: Pedro, Santiago y Juan.  Y de estos tres, Pedro y Juan eran los más íntimos.  Y de estos dos, Juan era el ‟discípulo amado”.  Pidamos con el mismo atrevimiento que un hijo pequeño habla a su Padre, la gracia de formar parte de este círculo íntimo de amigos de Jesús.  ¡Pidamos confiadamente la gracia de ser el amigo predilecto de Jesús!

 4. LA TRANSFIGURACIÓN.  Al llegar a la cima de la montaña, Jesús transfigura y muestra el fulgor de su grandeza Aquello fue un pequeño adelanto de la “vision beatífica” que en el cielo.  El alma que está en estado de gracia resplandece.  Nos corresponde a cada uno estar vigilantes, ocuparnos de no perder el resplandor de la gracia del alma por el pecado.  Pidamos que Dios sostenga nuestra esperanza y estimule nuestro afán de lucha por guardar nuestra alma.  Apreciemos y valoremos de esta realidad, ya que su valor supera el valor de todo el universo creado.  En una ocasión santa Catalina de Sena tuvo una visión de un alma humilde en estado de gracia y por la hermosura de esta alma, Catalina cayó de rodillas.  Os exhorto: dejemos que el afán divino nos atraiga a una honda amistad con Él por medio de una viva y ferviente vida de oración.  Seamos más fieles que nunca a nuestra Hora Santa diaria y valoremos la gracia que se nos comunican los sacramentos.

5. MOISES Y ELÍAS.  En la Transfiguración, Jesús conversa con las dos grandes figuras del Antiguo Testamento – Moises y Elías – Moises a quien Dios le había dado los Diez Mandamientos y Elías, un gran profetas y maestro que había sido llevado al cielo en un carro de fuego.  Que, por cierto, hay una excelente película titulada Carros de Fuego.  La Persona de Jesús personifica tanto a la figura de Moises como la figura de Elías porque Jesús nos da la Nueva Ley – el doble mandamiento de amar a Dios y amar al prójimo.  Y Jesús es el más grande Maestro y Profeta (Enviado) que jamás ha existido, superando infinitamente y con gran elocuencia las enseñanzas de Elías.  ¡Entreguémonos y abandonémonos incondicionalmente en manos del Señor! 

6. LA TRANSFIGURACIÓN DE JESÚS (OTRO PUNTO PARA MEDITAR) Jesús, resplandeciente en su gloria, ¡es motivo de gran ESPERANZA!  En la Transfiguración, Jesús comienza a disponer a sus Apóstoles para su Pasión y muerte.  La transfiguración es símbolo de la dicha inefable que el Señor tiene preparada para quienes sean fieles hasta el fin.  ¡Claro que sí!  La transfiguración es un pequeño adelanto de la “vision beatífica” que gozan los que ya están en el cielo.  Un día, después de haber corridor la carrera y perseverado hasta el fin, contemplaremos la vision beatífica – al Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo – por toda la eternidad.  Roguemos e imploremos a Dios, que nos conceda la gracia de vivir una vida pura para que algún día gocemos del fulgor de su grandeza.  “Dichosos los puros de corazón porque ellos verán a Dios.” (Mt. 5, 8)

7. PEDRO TOMA LA PALABRA.  “Qué hermosos es estar aquí”, exclama Pedro, con la espontaneidad que le caracteriza.  “Levantemos tres chozas: una para Ti, otra para Moisés y otra para Elías.”  Ahora demos una interpretación Eucarística a estas palabras.  Cuando estemos en presencia de Jesús Sacramentado, hagamos nuestra la añoranza y los sentimientos del corazón de Pedro y digamos a Jesús – “Señor, qué bueno es estar aquí.”  El Salmista nos dice: ‟Mirad al Señor y estemos radiantes de alegría.”  Porque en verdad, ¡contemplar a Jesús es la causa de alegría!

8. LA VOZ DEL PADRE.  Desde lo alto del cielo se escucha la voz del Padre que dice: “Este es mi Hijo, mi Elegido, ESCÚCHENLO.”   Reflexión – Dios nos pide que ESCUCHEMOS.  ¿Hablamos sin pensar?  ¿Cuantas veces no hemos hablado y más tarde nos arrepentimos amargamente de haber dicho lo que dijimos?  Quizas esta debe de ser nuestra tarea – aprender a ESCUCHAR.  La carta de Santiago nos hace esta exhortación: ‟Seamos lentos para hablar y prontos para escuchar.”  (Lea Santiago 3 sobre – Los pecados de la lengua) Quizás debemos ocuparnos más de escuchar que de hablar.  No nos desanimemos, abramos el corazón al Espíritu Santo que el Espíritu Santo puede mover montañas, quitar los obstáculos y borrar todos los defectos de nuestro corazón.

9. SOLOS CON JESÚS.  En el Evangelio leemos que solo tres discípulos se encontraban con Jesús.  Estos fueron los mismos discípulos que estuvieron presente cuando Jesús resucitó a la hija de Jairo.  Estos mismos discípulos estarían solos con Jesús la noche del Jueves Santo en el Huerto de los Olivos.  Y eran los mismos que se habían quedado dormidos mientras Jesús hacia su oración dolorida antes de su Pasión.  Ellos tristemente se habían quedado dormidos en su primera HORA SANTA.  Reflexión:  Cuando esté con Jesús Sacramento, tenga muy presente que no está solo.  Está con Dios que es AMOR.  Si está pasando por momentos de soledad, recuerde que no está sólo.  Jesús está siempre con usted.  ¡Jesús es el Amigo que nunca falla!  ¡Jesús en Tí confío!

10. RESUMEN Y COMENTARIOS DE CIERRE.  Hagamos un examen de conciencia:  ¿Cómo ha sido nuestra jornada espiritual?  ¿Mi vida espiritual sigue creciendo o se ha paralizado o atrofiado?  Si se ha paralizado, ¿por qué?  ¿En verdad considero que Jesús ES mi mejor AMIGO?  Si no lo es, ¿qué o quién ocupa su lugar? ¿He aprendido a escuchar a Jesús en la oración o acaso soy YO el que hablo y hablo cuando estoy con Jesús? ¿Conozco este pasaje bíblico? – ‟Habla Señor que tu siervo escucha”.  Por último, otra gran pregunta es la siguiente:  ‟¿Mi corazón, mi mente, mis afectos y todo mi ser están fijos en el cielo y la gloria?  No olvidemos  que uno de los mensajes principales de la Transfiguración de Jesús es mostrarnos la GLORIA que nos espera en el cielo, nos enseña que nuestro destino es estar con ÉL y con los santos.  Señor, sostén mi esperanza y estimula my afán de estar contigo en el cielo por toda la eternidad.  (Recuerde Principio y Fundamento))
