LA NATIVIDAD | EJERCICIOS ESPIRITUALES | 19 DE MAYO 2020

GRACIAS A PEDIR: Conocer íntimamente a Jesús, para amarlo más ardientemente y seguirlo.

CUARTO DÍA:  LA NATIVIDAD…   Lc. 2, 6-12

1. PIDA LA MISMA GRACIA QUE EN LA CONTEMPLACIÓN PRECEDENTE. Conocer íntimamente a Jesús – quien por nosotros nació en Belén – para amarlo más ardientemente y seguirlo.  Jesús nació por mi – ¡Cuán grande es su amor por mí!

2. LA NAVIDAD. Ruegue a Dios con humildad que le conceda la gracia de comprender el verdadero significado de la Navidad, no del punto de vista comercial sino desde la óptica de Dios.

3. CONTEMPLACIÓN.  Pida a Dios la gracia de estar verdaderamente presente en este momento más sublime, más hermoso, más humilde y lleno de gracias; el momento de la natividad del Hijo de Dios y de María. Profundice sobre el misterio de la Navidad y el significado espiritual que se esconde detrás de él.

4. LA JORNADA.  Acompañe a la Sagrada Familia – al niño Jesús en el vientre de María, a María y san José – que van de camino de Nazaret a Belén.  Use su imaginación, imagine lo difícil que fue el viaje, imagine las contrariedades que tuvo que pasar la Sagrada Familia por amor a nosotros.  Esta jornada no fue un paseo o día de campo, María se encontraba en su último mes de embarazo e hizo el viaje sentada sobre una albarda de asno.  El señor san José, su castísimo esposo y amable protector, iba de pie cuidando de ella.  El camino fue difícil  ¡no habían autopistas modernas, la superficie desnivelada estaba llena de hoyos y baches, la Sagrada Familia curzo muchos valles.  ¿Y el clima?  Hicieron muchos días de viaje, imagine y sienta el frío que golpeó el rostro de María y de san José.  Quizás hubieron días en qué lloviznó u otros en donde callo lluvia y granizo.  Pero a pesar del clima inclemente, no hubo queja alguna que saliera de los labios de María o José.  María con recogimiento estaba perfectamente consciente de Jesús a quien llevaba en su vientre; ¡ella llevaba a Dios en su vientre!  ¡Oh Señora mía, oh Madre mía, enséñame a adorar a Jesús en el Santísimo Sacramento!

5. AL LLEGAR A LA POSADA.  Llegan a Belén de noche y san José se dirige al primer mesón para buscar hospedaje, pero en este mesón sólo encuentra frialdad y rechazo.  San José se dirige a otra posada y luego a otra, y a otra, y a otra; todos cierran la puerta al ver a María y José.  ¡San José y María encuentra un rechazo total!  En las Sagradas Escrituras leemos: ‟No había lugar para ellos en el mesón.”  El arzobispo Fulton J. Sheen afirma acertadamente: ‟El Creador del universo no encontró lugar en toda su creación para nacer.”  María y José no consienten coraje, resentimiento o amargura; Conformaron su voluntad a la voluntad del Padre Celestial.  ¡El plan divino fue otro, Dios les señal otro camino!

6. EL ESTABLO EN BELÉN. San José ve a la distancia un lugar para refugiarse – es una gruta; una gruta que sirve de establo para guardar los animales del frio.  San José se señala la cueva a la santísma Virgen María; el rostro de Maria muestra un tierno gesto de aceptación (así lo presenta el P. Patrick Peyton en la película sobre el Rosario).  Después de haber hecho el largo camino a Belén, san José dirige el asno suavemente hacia la gruta; ¡sobre el asno va sentada la santísma Madre de Dios!  Vea el amor y la ternura con el que el glorioso patriarca san José trata a su amada esposa.  ¡Ahora el llamado es para usted!  Usted está allí.  Ayude a san José en éste glorioso momento.  Pero no ayude de forma pasiva sino de forma activa, ¡acomídase!

7. EL ESTABLO. ¡Ahora vea el establo!  ¿Cómo es?  ¿Cómo huele?  ¿Qué ruido escucha?  En esta noche más santa, todo está oscuro.  Una corriente fría corta el aire.  Y ése olor, ¿qué es?  ¡es el olor de animales!  ¡No es una dulzura aromática!  En esta noche santa, ¡se albergaban animales en la cueva!  ¡Reflexione en esto!  ¿Qué animales ve?…  Ahora fíjese en el clima.  ¿Hace frío?  ¡Claro que sí!  El frío es extremo e implacable.  Pero no se detenga ahí.  Usted puede empezar a buscar leña para dar algo de calor a José y María y al Niño que ella lleva en su vientre.  Jesús quiere que usted le de calor  le sirva, le ame, tanto a Él como a su purísima Madre y a san José.  ¡Qué agradecidos están Jesús, María y José de su humilde servicio!

8. ¡HA LLEGADO EL MOMENTO! ¡En esta noche santa, de profunda soledad y en el silencio de la noche JESÚS nace de la Virgen María!  ¡Vea el momento en que la Luz del mundo nace!  Vea cómo la Madre amada envuelve al más hermoso e inocente de los niños en pañales y lo acuesta en el pesebre.  Contémplelo con los ojos, pero más que nada, con los ojos de su corazón.  !Deje que sus ojos se recreen en tan hermoso Niño!  ¡Contemple al Niño Jesús!  ¡Ámelo con cada fibra de su ser!  ¡Viva el momento!  Deje que su corazón se desborde de amor y gratitude. ¡No se detenga!  ¡Porque fue por USTED que el Niño Jesús nace!

9. UN MOMENTO INOLVIDABLE LLENO DE AMOR. Ahora contemple al Niño en brazos de María su madre.  Ella lo ve con ojos de inmenso amor y ternura.  Contemple los ojos humildísimos de María, siempre fijos en la grandeza de Dios.  ¡Qué hermosa eres, mi amada, que hermosa eres!  Pero en ese momento, ella se detiene.  Ella alza la mirada y lo ve a usted y le invita a que tome al Niño en sus brazos; ella le anima con amor y confianza.  Viva intensamente esta escena… la Virgen santísima pone en sus brazos a su Hijo, el Creador del universo, al Salvador del mundo, a su Tesoro más grande, a su Hijo – el NIÑO JESÚS.  Tome a Jesús en sus brazos y abráselo a su corazón, ¡adorélo!  No se detenga, bese su pequeña frente.  Hable tiernamente con Él, comparta con Él todo lo que guarda en su corazón.  ¡No se detenga, ábrale el corazón de par en par y cuéntele todo!  Este es el momento de sondear profundamente en la oración en la más tierna contemplación… 

10. LOS PASTORES.  Ahora vea con los ojos de su imaginación a los humildes pastores que acaban de llegar.  Un coro de ángeles les ha anunciado el nacimiento del Niño Jesús.  Vea cómo con mucho acatamiento y reverencia se acercan y entran al establo.  Los pastores no se sienten extraños, se sienten acogidos en este lugar.  Son los más pobres de los pobres, son a quien Dios más ama.  Vea el gozo que radía de sus rostros.  Vea lo que ofrecen al Niño y a sus padres; les ofrecen un poco de leche o un poco de queso.  Le ofrecen a la Virgen Madre tejido de lana para acobijar al Niño en esta noche fría.  Contemple esta hermosa escena.  Entre en la escena y reflexione para cosechar abundantes frutos.   

11. COLOQUIO. Acabe esta meditación con un triple coloquio.  Hable con san José, hable con María y concluya hablando con su Salvador y Redentor, Jesús.  ¡Jesús nació por amor a tí!
