GRACIAS A PEDIR:
¡Pidamos la gracia de ver el pecado bajo la óptica de Dios! ¡Cuánto debo aborrecer el pecado, pues tanta ojeriza y aborrecimiento le tiene Dios!
1.LA BONDAD DE DIOS. ¡Que grande y bueno es Dios que no deja que nos hundamos en la arena movediza de nuestro pecado! Muy acertada la selección de los versos de Francis Thompson, Poeta británico, “El Sabueso del Cielo”, uno de los más bellos poemas jamás escritos, que presenta una magnífica descripción de Dios que va en búsqueda de nosotros sin obligarnos o ir contra nuestro libre albedrío. 2. CONCIENCIA. Dios nos habla en el silencio y por medio del proceso del razonamiento – así nos lo señala san Ignacio de Loyola en sus Reglas de Discernimiento (Regla #1).
3. NATÁN Y LA CONCIENCIA DE DAVID. Regresando a la historia de David… Dios le envía al profeta Natán para despertar su conciencia suprimida con una parábola que le habla directamente al corazón y David con dolor y pesar reconoce que él es el hombre de la parábola. Y empieza el proceso de su conversión…
4. MI CONCIENCIA. ¿Se identifica usted con la situación de David? Pregúntese usted mismo: ¿Me he dejado llevar por el pecado? ¿Estoy suprimiendo mi conciencia? Tal vez por miedo, vergüenza u orgullo, y con la ayuda del diablo, estamos suprimiendo nuestra conciencia y cerramos los ojos para no ver nuestro pecado. Si en este momento ésta es nuestra realidad, no estamos dejando a Dios obrar en nuestra vida.
5. EXAMINE LA PELÍCULA DE SU VIDA. ¿Se ha caído la venda de sus ojos y comienza a ver con claridad la luz de la verdad? ¿A cuántos “profetas Natán” le ha mandado Dios a su vida para despertarlo a la verdad?
6. SALMO 51. “MISERICORDIA, SEÑOR, HEMOS PECADO”. Este Salmo recibe su nombre “Miserere” por su primera(s) palabra(s) en latín, y es la súplica penitencial por excelencia. Récelo y suplique al Espíritu Santo la gracia de una oración fervorosa y perseverante.
7. TRANSPARENCIA TOTAL, HONESTIDAD ABSOLUTA. El momento de la verdad… David no se justifica, admite el adulterio, el asesinato de un hombre inocente y acepta su culpa. En el Salmo 51 David clama a Dios y muestra su arrepentimiento por sus pecados, no culpa a nadie excepto a sí mismo. No culpa a Betsabé, o las circunstancias, la cultura o su estado de ánimo, ¡no lo hace! David con honestidad absoluta admite que ha pecado contra Dios, su pecado está siempre ante sus ojos.
8. LA MISERICORDIA DE DIOS. ¡A pesar de su gran pecado, Dios en su infinita misericordia le perdona! ¡Dios es infinitamente misericordioso!
9. CONSECUENCIAS. El pecado de David es perdonado, sin embargo, sus acciones tienen consecuencias. Betsabé da a luz a un hijo, el cual enferma y muere. Años más tarde, tres hijos de David – Amnón, Absalón y Salomón – son viva imagen de los pecados que cometió su padre. Este es un concepto clave: ¡Nuestros actos tienen consecuencias!
10. REPARACIÓN. ¡Debemos confiar en la infinita misericordia de Dios! Pero a la vez, estamos llamados a hacer actos de reparación por nuestros pecados. Es por eso que los días viernes, el día de la semana en que Jesús sufrió y murió en la cruz por nuestros pecados, se nos pide hacer pequeños actos de penitencia y en el tiempo de Cuaresma, acto de reparación por nuestros pecados.
11. COLOQUIO. Meditemos con la mayor profundidad posible, a la persona de David y examinemos nuestra propia vida para sacar abundante fruto espiritual. Entre en coloquio con Jesús y María.
