Permitámosle impregnarnos con Su Presencia y que tome total posesión de nuestras vidas
El Santificador, el Paráclito, el Dedo de Dios, el Maestro Interior, el Don de Dones, la Tercera Persona de la Santísima Trinidad, el lazo de Amor unificando el Padre y el Hijo, el Abogado, el Amigo Secreto, el Dulce Huésped del Alma – todos estos títulos se le dan a la Tercera Persona de la Santísima Trinidad, el Espíritu Santo.
Cuando San Pablo llegó a Éfeso en un viaje misionario, él le preguntó a alguna de las personas allí si habían recibido el Espíritu Santo. Su respuesta pudo ser vista incluso a la luz de nuestra situación presente como una falta de conocimiento de la fe en general y una falta de conocimiento del Espíritu Santo en particular:
«Ni siquiera hemos oído decir que se reciba el Espíritu Santo». (Hechos 19,1-7)
Nunca hemos vivido en un mundo con tanta información. Sin embargo, al mismo tiempo, nunca hemos vivido en un mundo con una confusión tan esparcida – ¡los efectos del pecado y de la Torre de Babel! Por lo tanto, queremos ofrecer un pequeño ensayo acerca de cómo podemos hacer que nuestro conocimiento, amor y amistad con el Espíritu Santo crezcan, tal a como dice el Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica acerca de Él – “¡El Don de Dones!”
Recibamos libremente este Don en lo profundo de nuestros corazones, mentes, almas y entendimientos y permitámosle impregnarnos con Su Presencia y que tome total posesión de nuestras vidas. Un don o un regalo pueden ser recibidos o rechazados libremente.
Abramos nuestros seres totalmente para recibir el más grande de los Regalos, ¡a Dios mismo!
Esperamos que estas pequeñas sugerencias sean de gran ayuda para unirnos más con el Espíritu Santo. Estemos preparados y dispuestos a compartir el conocimiento que recibamos libremente. Si hemos recibido libremente, ¡demos libremente! A continuación encontrarán 10 puntos o ideas para mejorar su conocimiento, amor y docilidad al Espíritu Santo.

Este libro ha sido llamado “El Evangelio del Espíritu Santo”. Sean especialmente observadores de cuántas veces es mencionado el Espíritu Santo en esta obra maestra espiritual. Vean además las diferentes maneras en las que el Espíritu Santo trabaja en la Iglesia primitiva.
Pueden incluso subrayar con un lápiz cada vez que el Espíritu Santo sea mencionado en el libro de los Hechos de los Apóstoles. Permítanle al Espíritu Santo entrar más de lleno en sus vidas al meditar la Palabra de Dios.
3.Tener el hábito de rezar Novenas. Una de las novenas más poderosas en la historia del mundo es precisamente la novena de la preparación para la venida del Espíritu Santo, el primer Pentecostés.
Los Apóstoles oraron y ayunaron durante 9 días y noches en unión con la Santísima Virgen María. Luego ocurrió un extraordinario fenómeno: viento y fuego descendieron sobre las cabezas de los Apóstoles, transformándolos en fervientes amantes de Jesús, ¡listos para derramar su sangre por el bien de Su nombre! 4.Conocer los SÍMBOLOS del Espíritu Santo. Hay que conocer todos los símbolos que nos ha dado la iglesia para conocer mejor al Espíritu Santo. El Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica nos da varios de ellos: Fuego, Viento, Paloma. Viento, Agua y Aceite. También el Sello, un Dedo, una Lámpara.
Los símbolos son realidades físicas que apuntan a una realidad espiritual más profunda (CCC 694 – 701)
5. Lean sobre el Espíritu Santo. Uno de los libros que recomiendo es «En la Escuela del Espíritu Santo» escrito por Jacques Philippe.
Una obra de arte corta pero magnífica sobre el tema del Espíritu Santo, Philippe nos invita a buscar el camino de la santidad por medio del sencillo camino de la docilidad a las inspiraciones del Espíritu Santo. El Espíritu Santo, Santificador, nos quiere hacer santos, si le permitimos operar libremente en nuestras vidas.
6. Los Dones del Espíritu Santo. Al momento del Bautismo recibimos los siete Dones del Espíritu Santo; luego el Sacramento de la Confirmación fortifica estos maravillosos dones. Conózcanlos; oren para que se actúen más vigorosamente en sus vidas. Su santificación y salvación depende de esta profunda unión con el Espíritu Santo y Sus Dones.
7. Los 7 Dones del Espíritu Santo. Si sienten que deambulan en “Tierra de Nadie” con respecto a lo que son los Dones del Espíritu Santo, entonces esto les será de mucha ayuda. Traten de memorizarlos: Sabiduría, Conocimiento, Entendimiento, Consejo, Fortaleza, Piedad y Temor de Dios. De acuerdo a Santo Tomás de Aquino, el Doctor Angelical, la Sabiduría es el más grande de los dones del Espíritu Santo, que puede ser definido como deleitarse en las cosas de Dios. Si quieren, el Salmista resume el don de la Sabiduría con estas palabras concisas: «Gusten y vean cuán bueno es el Señor» (Salmo 34,9)
8. Los frutos del Espíritu Santo. Tradicionalmente los frutos del Espíritu Santo son doce, aunque Santo Tomás de Aquino dice que estos no incluyen todo. Los siguientes son los doce frutos conocidos tradicionalmente: caridad (o amor), alegría, paz, paciencia, benignidad (o amabilidad), bondad, longanimidad (o gran coraje), fidelidad, mansedumbre, modestia, continencia (o auto-control), y castidad.
Santo Tomás dice que cuando correspondemos a los Dones del Espíritu Santo y llevamos a cabo la voluntad de Dios en nuestras vidas, entonces experimentamos esta dulzura interior en nuestra alma, éstos son los frutos del Espíritu Santo.
9. Recuperar al Espíritu Santo. Una tragedia moral podría ocurrir en nuestras vidas: ¡caer en pecado mortal! Si se cae en el lodo del pecado mortal en nuestras vidas, nunca caigan en desesperación, sino que confíen en Dios completamente. Al cometer pecado mortal, estamos expulsando conscientemente a la persona del Espíritu Santo de nuestras almas. Sin embargo, la Buena Nueva es ésta: ¡CONFESIÓN! Al realizar una buena confesión con un sacerdote, entonces no sólo regresa la gracia de Dios a nuestra alma sino que ¡regresa el Espíritu Santo como Dulce Huésped de nuestra alma!
10. La Virgen María y el Espíritu Santo. María tiene la relación más profunda y cercana con el Espíritu Santo después del mismo Jesús. La Inmaculada Concepción, en la cual Nuestra Señora fue preservada libre de toda Culpa Original desde el momento de su concepción en el vientre de su madre, fue obra del Espíritu Santo. La Concepción Virginal de Jesús en el vientre de María fue por obra y gracia del Espíritu Santo.
El nacimiento de la Iglesia en el primer Pentecostés cuando el Espíritu Santo descendió sobre los Apóstoles en lenguas de fuego, sucedió en presencia de Nuestra Señora. Sus poderosas oraciones facilitaron la venida del Espíritu Santo y el advenimiento de la Iglesia Misionera.
Nuestra Señora tiene una relación íntima y profunda con la Santísima Trinidad. Ella es la Hija de Dios Padre, la Madre de Dios Hijo y la Esposa Mística del Espíritu Santo.
