He aquí algunas formas para lograr una verdadera conversión de vida. Entremos en lo profundo de nuestra alma, y con sinceridad, esforcémonos por una profunda conversión de vida. Pero tengamos siempre presente que la verdadera conversión es más Dios obrando en nuestra alma que nuestro propio hacer. ¡Colaboremos con la gracia de Dios!
1. LA MEMORIA. La memoria se debe de purificar constantemente. San Pablo nos exhorta a que nos revistamos con la mente de Cristo, pero continua y dice, »ustedes tienen la mente de Cristo.» Ya sean heridas de la juventud, fuertes adiciones que esclavizan (pornografía), abusos físicos, emocionales, sociales o morales — estas heridas se pueden traer a nuestro Señor para que Él las sane y logre la conversión de la memoria. 4. LA INTENSIÓN. Si somos honestos con nosotros mismos, debemos reconocer que nuestras intenciones no siempre son desinteresadas. Es más, aun nuestras buenas obras tienen una especie de interés propio, amor propio y vanidad. Esta verdad resaltará si hacemos un buen examen de consciencia. Con frecuencia leemos en el diario de santa Faustina que Jesús le pide que tenga pureza de intención, que sus obras sean sólo por Él y la mayor gloria de Dios. La Palabra de Dios dice, los hombres juzgan lo exterior pero Dios juzga el corazón. En el sermón de la montaña, Jesús con claridad y firmeza dice que nuestras obras no deberán ser vistas y alabadas por los hombres. Hagamos, entonces, todas nuestras obras, de tal manera que la mano derecha no sepa lo que hace la mano izquierda. Porque nuestro Padre celestial que ve todo en secreto nos recompensará. El lema de san Ignacio, el fundador de la compañía de Jesús (los Jesuitas) es Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam, también conocida por su abreviatura AMDG, – que en latín significa «A la mayor gloria de Dios» En verdad, buscar la mayor gloria de Dios debería ser la motivación principal de todo lo que hacemos. Si colocamos nuestras intenciones en el Inmaculado Corazón de María, ella las purificará, adornará y corregirá toda motivación que está fuera de lugar!
5. EL CORAZÓN. Por último, pero no menos importante, el mero centro de nuestro ser debe pasar por una conversión – nuestro corazón. Jesús dice que de la abundancia del corazón habla la boca. El corazón humano es capaz de albergar las intenciones y sentimientos más nobles e igual puede guardar las motivaciones y deseos más detestables. Es necesario procurar una conversión de corazón a diario. ¿Cuál podría ser el medio más eficaz para lograr una verdadera conversión de corazón? Simple y sin rodeos: RECIBIENDO LA SANTA COMUNIÓN CON GRAN AMOR Y GRAN FERVOR. Al comulgar recibimos el Cristo total: Su Cuerpo, Su Sangre, Su Alma y Su Divinidad. Entonces, si recibimos Su Cuerpo, recibimos su también Su Sagrado Corazón. Y en el Sagrado Corazón de Jesús encontramos las virtudes más sublimes y el mayor grado de santidad y perfección. En el Sagrado Corazón de Jesús están presentes las siguientes virtudes: la fe, la esperanza, la caridad, la paciencia, la pureza, la mansedumbre, la obediencia, la mortificación y la fortaleza — por mencionar sólo algunas. Y estas virtudes están presentes en cada Hostia Consagrada que recibimos en la Santa Comunión todos los días. En una forma muy real, a diario tenemos un TRANSPLANTE DE CORAZÓN cada vez que comulgamos con fe, devoción y amor. Más allá de toda sombra de duda, el medio más eficaz para llegar a una verdadera conversión de corazón. El Corazon de Nuestro Senor consume todo lo que es innoble de nuestro corazón para que podamos verdaderamente decir con el apóstol san Pablo: »Ya no soy yo quien vive sino Cristo quién vive en mí.
