LA VISITACION DE MARIA A SANTA ISABEL | LC 1:39-56

Fijemos los
ojos con mucho amor en la santísima Virgen María, nuestra vida, dulzura, esperanza, nuestra
guía, maestra y modelo y con gran confianza
recemos la hermosa oración de san Bernardo, Acordaos,
»Jamás se ha oído decir que ninguno de los que han acudido a vuestra
protección, haya sido desamparado…»

El mes de Mayo, mes de María, concluye con una de las más hermosas fiestas Marianas, la
Visitación de María Santísima a su prima santa Isabel.  De este segundo misterio gozoso y joya
Mariana, podemos aprender hermosas y profundas enseñanzas espirituales.  Bajemos a esta mina de oro, a esta «mina
espiritual» y tomemos a manos llenas de sus exquisitos tesoros.
1.  LA ANUNCIACIÓN.   La Anunciación culmina con el »fíat» de
María, el »sí» de María y la encarnación del Hijo de Dios.  Sus palabras fueron precisamente
estas: «He aquí la esclava del
Señor, hágase en mí según tu palabra.» 
Ese momento, fue uno de los momentos más grandes en la historia del
mundo, porque tuvo lugar la encarnación del Hijo de Dios, la segunda persona de
la Santísima Trinidad, quien descendió de su trono celestial y se encarnó (se
hizo hombre) en el vientre purísimo de la ¡Santísima Virgen María!  Cautivados en asombro, ¡adoremos humildemente
tan sublime misterio!

2.
COMUNIÓN Y CARIDAD FRATERNA.  Después de
la encarnación del Hijo de Dios en su vientre, María no
guardó para sí misma este «don», sino de prisa salió para dar a Jesús
a los demás.  Emprendió un camino de 80
kilómetros hacia Ain Karim, cruzando una ciudad montañosa, para ayudar a su prima
Isabel.  El Papa Benedicto XVI en su
exhortación apostólica «Sacramentum Caritatis» insiste, que de igual
forma como Maria salió con Jesús en su vientre, la Misa y la Santa Comunión deben transformarnos e impulsarnos a ser
celosos misioneros y a llevar la Buena
Noticia de Jesús a todo el mundo.

3.  PRESUROSA. 
Sin postergar o posponer, esperar o retrasar, María movida por el
Espíritu Santo sale inmediatamente. 
¿Aprendizaje?  Al recibir una
inspiración del Espíritu Santo, seamos obedientes, prontos y dóciles en
responder.

4.  CAMINE CON MARIA Y EMPRENDA UN DIÁLOGO CON
ELLA.  Entre en una contemplación
Ignaciana, imagine que emprende el viaje con María.  Contemple a María, su alegría, su paso
presuroso, consiente que lleva a Jesús en su vientre, su determinación en hacer
la voluntad de Dios sin medir obstáculos, sin fijarse en todo lo que aquel
largo viaje a Ain Karim abarca.  Acompañe
usted a María en este viaje, admire su majestad, y deje que su humildad y
sencillez le inspire.  En este largo
camino, ábrale su corazón a María, hable con ella, cuéntele lo que está pasando
en su vida. ¿Por qué no también compartir con ella lo que más le pesa en la
mente y el corazón.  María Santísima es
la más atenta.

5.  PROCESIÓN EUCARÍSTICA.   Tenga muy presente mientras camine, que el
pequeño Jesús ya está presente en el vientre de María, por lo tanto, en verdad
es una «procesión Eucarística» (una procesión de Corpus
Christi).  María siempre nos acerca a
Jesús, como vemos en las bodas de Caná, cuando escuchamos sus últimas palabras:
«¡Hagáis lo que Él os diga!»  
¡Maravilloso consejo!  Pida la
gracia de tener mayor fe, amor y devoción a la Santa Eucaristía!


6.  ¡GOZO!  
La Visitación es el segundo misterio gozoso.  La verdadera fuente de alegría y gozo es
estar con Jesús y María.  El cántico de
María (su Magnificat) hace resaltar esta verdad: «Mi alma magnifica la grandeza
del Señor y mi espíritu se llena de gozo en Dios mi Salvador…»  Que igual nosotros, busquemos siempre la
verdadera fuente de gozo ¡JESÚS!

7.  ¡EL SALUDO!  
María saluda a Isabel con el saludo tradicional de los judíos, SHALOM,
¡la paz sea con vosotros!   De igual
manera, nuestros hogares, nuestras familias, nuestras comunidades, nuestros
grupos, nuestras parroquias y nuestras actividades, deben caracterizarse por
este «Shalom».  En estos
círculos debería reinar siempre un ambiente cálido, acogedor y agradable.  Como nos enseña Maria, para que nuestro
apostolado sea eficaz, se debe siempre caracterizar por una calidez acogedora!

8.  SAN JUAN, EL NIÑO EN EL VIENTRE, ¡SALTA DE
ALEGRÍA!   Al escuchar el saludo de
María, el niño en el vientre de santa Isabel (san Juan), salta de alegría.  ¿Qué vemos aquí?  Jesús, aun antes de nacer, actúa como
Redentor, liberando a su primo y precursor de la atadura del pecado
original.  ¿Que nos dice?  Indudablemente, el tener contacto con Jesús y
María en la oración, será medio poderoso para liberarse las garras del pecado
sobre nosotros y la esclavitud del pecado. 
El pecado en verdad es esclavitud, del cual Jesús y María vinieron a dar
verdadera libertad, ¡la libertad de los hijos e hijas de Dios!  «María concebida sin pecado original,
rogad por nosotros que recurrimos a vos.»

9. ¡EL PASAJE
PRO-VIDA «POR EXCELENCIA»!  En
nuestra sociedad moderna, estas dos mujeres serían candidatas perfectas para el
aborto. ¿Por qué?  Una era muy joven
(María), mientras la otra demasiado anciana (Isabel).  Sin embargo, ambas tuvieron una confianza
infinita en la Divina Providencia, y por consecuencia dieron a luz a los más
grandes, a san Juan Bautista y ¡JESÚS EL HIJO DE DIOS!  Que esta meditación del misterio de la
Visitación, nos haga siempre defensores implacables de la vida humana, desde el
momento de la concepción hasta la muerte natural.  Dios es el Autor y origen de la vida y ¡sólo
Él es quien decide cuándo nos llama a si mismo!

10.  MARÍA Y CARIDAD ACTIVA.  El amor a Dios no se reduce sólo a palabras,
sino se manifiesta en obras, en servicio, y en ver reflejado a Jesús en la
presencia de nuestro prójimo!  María no
sólo saludó a Isabel, sino de forma activa, sirvió en su necesidad a su prima
ya anciana quien estaba embarazada! 
Dejemos que nuestra imaginación se recree en una contemplación
Ignaciana, acompañando a María en su caridad activa.  ¿Cuáles podrían ser algunos quehaceres que
María realizó con desbordante amor y alegría? 
Sacar agua del pozo, porque en aquel entonces no había agua
potable.   Barrer la humilde casa – no
habían aspiradoras hace 2000 años. 
Lavar, secar y colgar ropa – no habían maquinas de lavar para
ayudar en la labor doméstica.  Cocinar,
hornear, poner la meza, lavar la loza y limpiar la cocina – No había sitios
de comida rápida o comida corrida.  Igual
no habían grandes refrigeradores, en donde se almacenaba comida para luego
sacar y tirarla cada semana!  María llevaba
acabo con el más grande amor y atención a su prima Isabel, todas estas humildes
labores domésticas.  Recuerde, que la
santidad no depende de la grandeza de la obra, sino del gran amor que acompaña
cada obra — aún si a los ojos del mundo parece algo pequeño e
insignificante.  El secreto de santidad
de santa Teresita y María en el misterio de la Visitación es, hacer las cosas
ordinarias con extraordinario amor.  ¡Eso
es la santidad!

En conclusión,
contemplemos la vida, las palabras, los gestos y las acciones de la Madre de Dios en el Misterio de la Visitación; contemplémosla y después salgamos a nuestra vida activa con gestos de caridad.  »Todo lo que hiciste al más pequeño de mis hermanos, me lo hiciste a mí.»
