LA SANTA MISA

 
Si verdaderamente entendiéramos el significado del
Santo Sacrificio de la Misa, no sólo sucedería que nunca, nunca faltaríamos a
Misa los domingos, sino también haríamos todo esfuerzo de asistir diariamente a
Misa.  Igualmente nos prepararíamos cada
día para entrar más plenamente en este gran regalo de Jesús a nosotros; que es
la oración más sublime que se le puede ofrecer Padre Eterno.

La obra de la Pasión, que comenzó en Europa en la edad
media, y sigue hasta hoy día,  sin duda es una verdadera obra clásica.  Sin embargo, la obra es un recordar y  una representación de lo que sucedió el primer
Viernes Santo, cuando Jesús sufrió su dolorosísima agonía y muerte por la
salvación del mundo entero.

El Santo Sacrificio de la Misa no sólo representa lo
que sucedió hace dos mil años, sino que verdaderamente es volver a vivir la pasión, muerte, y Resurrección de Jesús nuestro Señor y Redentor — a esto le llamamos
el Misterio Pascual.  Después de la consagración de la hostia en el Cuerpo
de Cristo y el vino en la Sangre de Cristo, aclamamos: «Anunciamos tu
muerte, proclamamos tu resurrección. ¡Ven, Señor Jesús!»  

Cada Misa es de valor infinito, pero las gracias que se reciben en la Misa dependen en gran
parte de la disposición interior de cada persona.  Hoy al estar en mi retiro
anual Ignaciano, celebré la santa Misa.  Esta Misa fue de un valor infinito,
¡aunque haya sido celebrada privadamente y por solo un sacerdote!

El principio teológico se llama «la preparación dispositiva a la gracia.»   Esto significa
que las gracias que se reciben en cada Santa Misa son infinitas porque es Jesús
mismo—el Verbo Encarnado, la segunda Persona de la Santísima Trinidad — que
se ofrece a Sí mismo como víctima al Padre por la salvación del mundo.
 Sin embargo, se confiere la gracia conforme a la disposición individual de la persona.

Daré una analogía simple para explicar este concepto.  Vemos el ejemplo del cristal de una
ventana de su casa.   Si ese panel no se ha lavado o
limpiado en dos años, el cristal está sucio, manchado  y opaco.  Y aunque los rayos peguen y traten de penetrar
la ventana e inundar la habitación en la mayor medida posible, los rayos del
sol serán obstruidos.  ¿Por qué?  ¡Por la simple razón que el cristal
está sucio y sin lavar e impide que la abundancia de luz llene el cuarto de su resplandor!  ¡Solo después que se haya aplicado un
limpiador a la ventana y tallado con periódico —- podrá el sol pasar por la
ventana al mayor grado posible!   En otras palabras, la abundancia
de la efusión del sol va en proporción a la claridad del cristal.

Por analogía, nuestra alma es ese mismo cristal de y Jesús es el «Sol de Dios» que ardientemente anhela entrar
en lo más profundo de nuestra alma.   Su «luz» es infinita
porque Jesús es Dios mismo.  Entre los
muchos títulos Cristológicos dados a Jesús está «Yo soy la luz del
mundo».  Si debido al pecado mortal el alma está totalmente opaca,
entonces no debería acercarse a la Eucaristía hasta que primero acuda al
sacramento de la confesión;  Si de hecho  ha comulgado cuando el alma esta en es estado,
¡entonces el alma se hunde en una oscuridad más profunda!

Si llega tarde a Misa, si guarda algún pequeño
resentimiento, si pone poca atención en Misa, si a duras apenas participa en
las oraciones y si permite que su mente vague, entonces el alma está sucia, la
mancha de la preparación mediocre empaña el alma.   Jesús al entrar a es
alma comunicará poca luz porque la disposición de esta alma es ¡anémica, débil
y carece de fervor!

Lo contrario de esto es una persona que sinceramente
anhela recibir a Jesús con la mejor disposición.  Esta persona ama al
Señor, anhela recibirlo y hace todo en su poder para prepararse para ese
momento tan sublime, la recepción de la Sagrada Comunión en la Misa.

Un ejemplo impactante de alguien con una excelente
disposición que hace poco fue canonizado y cuya fiesta se celebra el 24 de
julio, es ¡San CHARBEL MAKLOUF!   Este monje contemplativo libanés recibió
permiso para celebrar el Santo Sacrificio de la Misa a las 12:00 del
mediodía.  ¿Y por qué?   ¡Para él la
Santa Misa era el eje vital de su vida y existencia! La filosofía
de vida de este santo moderno era: ¡JESUS EUCARÍSTICO EN LA MISA ES EL CENTRO Y
CORAZÓN DE MI VIDA!

Así que ¿qué hizo San Charbel para llevar a cabo este simple
propósito de tan grande nobleza?  La
mañana entera antes de las 12:00 del mediodía, que era cuando él celebraba
Misa, era una preparación para la Misa. Todas sus oraciones y acciones las
orientaba en preparación para el encuentro con Jesús Eucaristía.  Luego
celebraba Misa a las 12:00 del mediodía.  ¡Después de Misa San Charbel
pasaba lo que quedaba del día en acción de gracias a Jesús Eucarístico por tan
sublime regalo!

¡Esto es ¨gracia recibida según la disposición” a su
máxima expresión!   Toda la vida de San Charbel Maklouf  giró en Jesús presente en el Santo Sacrificio
de la Misa. Por esa profunda y sencilla razón es verdaderamente un santo
moderno!

Por tu estado de vida, tal vez no puedas imitar con
exactitud a San Charbel Maklouf.   Pero
por qué no comenzar hoy, en este mismo momento, haz un firme propósito de mejorar
y elevar tus Comuniones.  ¡Por qué no esforzarte por mejorar la
disposición de tu alma!   ¿Por qué no intentar limpiar y purificar tu alma
con un «limpiador espiritual» 
y de esta forma recibir mejor a Jesús Eucaristía.
¡Eh aquí una sugerencia y como cierre una promesa de
bendición!   Lleguen unos minutos antes 
que la Misa comience.  Procuren
tener una actitud de calma y recogimiento.  El sacerdote que celebra
tendrá su propia intención o intenciones específicas para la Misa.  ¿Por
qué no poner  tus propias intenciones en
el altar.  Sugiero tres: 1) Recen por el
alma de un familiar o amigo que ha fallecido para liberarlo del
Purgatorio;  2) Recen por la conversión
de los pecadores, especialmente  por
alguien que tu amas y cuya salvación te preocupa;  3) Recen por su propia conversión.   Ruégale al Señor que le de un
«trasplante espiritual de corazón.» Que el Sagrado Corazón de Jesús,
que arde de amor por tí, borre de tu corazón cualquier cosa que le desagrade.

LA PROMESA Y LA BENDICIÓN!   Jesús prometió que
quien coma Su Cuerpo y beba Su Sangre tendrán vida eterna y que El los resucitará
en el  último día. (Jn 6: 22 71 Discurso
del Pan de Vida).  ¡El cielo es tuyo!
 Si tú recibes a Jesús con un amor ardiente aquí la tierra, entonces Él te
recibirá en el cielo!
