SÉPTIMO DÍA: Génesis 39 – La tentación y resistencia de José – ¿Cómo soy YO tentado? ¿Resisto la tentación? ¿Evito las ocasiones próximas al pecado?
GRACIAS A PEDIR: ¡Pidamos la gracia de ver el pecado bajo la óptica de Dios! ¡Cuánto debo aborrecer el pecado, pues tanta ojeriza y aborrecimiento le tiene Dios!
1. El Pecado se puede evitar. ¡Se debe evitar! La gracia de Dios es mucho más poderosa que nuestra debilidad humana.
2. Hemos meditado sobre los efectos terribles y nocivos del pecado, vistos desde la perspectiva Divina. Hemos visto la fealdad del pecado y el daño que ocasiona y lo infame y malévolo que es. Pero también hemos visto que no hay mal del que Dios no pueda obtener un bien mayor.
3. JOSÉ, UN HOMBRE JUSTO. De todos los personajes en la Biblia, la figura de José en el Antiguo Testamento es el más noble, honesto, genuino y puro.
4. ODIO Y ENVIDIA DE SUS HERMANOS. Era José el hijo predilecto de su padre, por lo que sus hermanos empezaron a envidiarle y odiarle, y aprovechando que un día iba con ellos a apacentar los rebaños, intentaron matarlo arrojándolo a un pozo pero, pero en su lugar, lo vendieron más tarde a una caravana que iba camino de Egipto.
5. PUTIFAR. Putifar, el oficial del faraón y jefe de la guardia que lo compró como esclavo vió la personalidad, la nobleza, la rectitud y la bondad de José y, tomando un especial interés en él, le dio el mando de su casa.
6. UN OBSTÁCULO – LA ESPOSA DE PUTIFAR. ¡Pero la historia no termina ahí! La esposa de Putifar viendo que José era un joven muy atractivo, empieza a observarlo y se entrega a la lujuria. ¡El diablo no descansa! Ella intenta seducirlo, pero este hombre santo huye de ella.
7. ACUSADO Y ENCARCELADO. José es injustamente acusado y encarcelado; es una de las pre-figuras de Nuestro Señor más elocuentes que encontramos en el Antiguo Testamento.
8. INTERPRETÓ LOS SUEÑOS DEL FARAÓN. Dios está siempre activo en la vida de José. El Faraón tiene un sueño y solo José lo puede interpretar. José es puesto en libertad y le es dado el segundo puesto más importante de Egipto, después del Faraón. Es llamado para llevar el control de los contenedores de granos y alimento en medio de una hambruna mundial.
9. PERDÓN. Los hermanos de José van a él en búsqueda de comida. José pudiendo haberse vengado por el mal que le habían hecho no lo hace. ¡José les revela su identidad déjandolos en un asombro total! En vez de castigarles severamente, les perdona y les da la bienvenida a su casa. Toda la familia se llena de alegría y júbilo.
10. DIVINA PROVIDENCIA. José ve la mano de Dios en cada página y circunstancia de su vida. Al igual que Jesús, José perdona y da gracias a Dios por sus maravillosos designios.
11.Ahora reflexione usted sobre el plan maravilloso y providencial que Dios ha obrado en su propia vida. Nada sucede por casualidad. La Divina Providencia está siempre activa y presente. Dios incluso nos ha permitido caer en pecado para sacar de él un bien mayor.
12. COLOQUIO. Hable con Dios sobre su vida. Ruegue a Dios que le conceda la gracia de ver el pecado con sus Divinos Ojos. Suplique a Dios que le conceda un anhelo sincero de imitar la inocencia y santidad de José, que en realidad es un pálido reflejo de la Santidad de Jesús.
