LAS DOS BANDERAS | EJERCICIOS ESPIRITUALES | 25 MAYO 2020

TERCER DÍA: Repetición – Las Dos Banderas…  Tentación de Jesús (Mt 4, 1-11)

1. GRACIA A PEDIR.  Pida la misma gracia que en la contemplación anterior: Conocer íntimamente a Jesús, para amarlo más ardientemente y seguirlo.  En un retiro Ignaciano de un mes, san Ignacio insiste no una, ni dos, ni tres veces, sino cuatro veces, en que hagamos la meditación sobre las ‟Dos Banderas” – La bandera de Cristo y la bandera de Satanás.  San Ignacio da gran importancia a esta meditación, porque es una meditación clave.  En su tiempo libre, repase una vez más las catorce Reglas de Discernimiento.  Estas reglas tratan principalmente sobre cómo el enemigo/el diablo logra entrar a la morada de nuestra alma al encontrar una perdura, por pequeña que sea.  Si estamos conscientes de ello, podemos poner las barreras necesarias para cerrarle el paso.

2. ¿PROCRASTINAR?  Rebobine la película de su vida, vea si usted acostumbra procrastinar o dejar para mañana los cosas que debería atender hoy.  ¿Se levanta usted temprano para hacer su Hora Santa dándole así las primicias a Dios?  ¿O es usted como Caín quien no ofreció al Señor sus primeros frutos? 

3. PRÁCTICAS ESPIRITUALES.   Veamos otras prácticas espirituales.  ¿Deja usted de hacer o hace mal sus otras devociones?  ¿Tal vez ha dejado usted de rezar el Rosario?  Quizás el Señor le está pidiendo que asista a Misa diariamente, pero usted da excusa tras excusa para no ir y se privara de lo que más le alimenta – el Pan de Vida (Juan 6).  O quizás ha sido descuidado/a en la formación espiritual de sus hijos.  No olvide, ante Dios, la salvación de las almas de sus hijos es su responsabilidad.  Quizás ha sido descuido/a al no llevar a sus hijos a que reciban el sacramento de la Confesión, sabiendo bien que necesitan ir.  Es más, lleva días que le remuerde la conciencia por no haberlos llevado a confesarse.  Pero usted sólo pone pretextos. ¿Es usted un instrument en las manos del ‟diablo de la desidia”?

4. PENSAMIENTOS O MIRADAS IMPURAS.  Acaso ha estado el diablo de la lujuria llamando a la puerta de su corazón o la ventana de su alma – ¿sus ojos?  ¿Rechaza usted con prontitud los malos pensamientos o acaso los entretiene por un tiempo y luego los rechaza?   ¿Toma usted algunos pasos con el chamuco? ¿Cuándo va en la calle, mantiene usted control de sus ojos y evita ver imágenes peligrosas o pecaminosas o acaso deja usted que sus ojos se recreen con cosas que no deben?  ¡Recuerde que la curiosidad mató al gato y al Rey David!

5. LOS MEDIOS DE COMUNICACIÓN.  ¿Le tienta el diablo fuertemente a que vea imágenes impuras en la televisión?  El internet es causa de fuertes tentaciones, ¿le llama a que vea imágenes o videos pornográficos o a que tenga conversaciones impuras?  ¿Mantiene usted buen control de sus ojos?  ¿Va usted al cine y ve películas que sabe que tienen malas imágenes?  El diablo nos miente.  Su mejor artimaña es hacernos reducir lo malo a normas o conceptos buenos y racionales.  Pero en el fondo del corazón sabemos que lo que estamos haciendo no está bien y qué no es bueno para la salvación eterna de nuestra alma.  El diablo nos da argumentos para que pensemos que es bueno.

6. EL PERDÓN.  ¿El diablo le induce a que le niega el perdón a alguien?  Cuando alguien le ofende de palabra, obra, descuido u omisión, ¿está usted presto para perdonar?  ¿O deja usted que los malos sentimientos se apoderen de su alma?  ¿Toma usted una actitud de venganza?  ¿El diablo le convence que tome represalias y que se aferre al odio?

7. RECUERDOS.  El diablo saca cosas del pasado para que su corazón se llene de coraje.  A veces son malos recuerdos, recuerdos pecaminosos o cosas que nos han herido.  ¿Alguna vez ha buscado formas de vengarse con aquellos que le han hecho daño?  ¿Le ha convencido el diablo que se vengue?  Ha dicho usted:  ‟El que me la hace, me la paga.”  

8. EL MATERIALISMO/EL CONSUMISMO.  Quizás el diablo le ha tendido otras trampas o tirado otras flechas.  ¿Le tienta a querer poseer más cosas?  Éste es su lema:  “Iré de compras hasta que mi cuerpo aguante”.   ¿Es esclavo de sus posesiones?  ¿Le da más valor a lo que tiene que a lo que es?  ¿Está consciente usted que del SER nace el HACER?  (San Juan Pablo II)  ¿Es usted tacaño?  ¿Piensa usted que el valor de su prójimo depende de su cuenta bancaria, de lo que tiene o lo que otros opinan de él?  Detrás de esta perspectiva materialista está el mismísimo diablo quien dice:  ‟¡Mereces tener todo esto!”

9. EL DIABLO DE LA SENSUALIDAD, EL PLACER Y EL CONFORT.  La tentación del enemigo llega a través del placer y el confort. ‟¡Tomémonos una Tecate!”  ¿Éste ha sido su lema?  Comidas de lujo, el sillón más cómodo, televisión de pantalla grande, largas vacasiones de lujo.  Ha caído usted en las garras del diablo acogiendo esta filosofía del placer: ‟¡Solo se vive una vez, no te detengas, disfruta la vida!”  ¿Ha dejado usted que el diablo del placer contamine y le robe el corazón?

10. EL DIABLO DE LA DESESPERANZA.  Jesús dijo a santa Faustina claramente que el pecado más grande era la falta de confianza en la infinita misericordia de Dios.  Veamos a Judas y a Pedro.  Ambos le fallaron a Nuestro Señor.  Pero uno de ellos se entregó a la desesperanza y se ahorcó – Judas Escariote.  En cambio, el otro, arrepentido lloró amargamente e imploró el perdón de su Señor y llegó a ser un grande santo – este fue san Pedro.  ¿El diablo le tienta a la desesperanza?  ¿El diablo le pinta un panorama oscuro?  ¿El diablo le ha convencido que usted es inutil, que no vale nada, que no es nadie en su familia, en su sociedad y en el mundo?  ¿Su vida se caracteriza por una monótona existencia en donde está por aventar la toalla?  No olvide, que sean cual sean sus faltas, el atributo más grande de Dios es su infinita misericordia. La infinita misericordia brota del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús para usted en todo momento, en todo lugar y en toda circunstancia.  En verdad el diablo nos tienta a que perdamos la esperanza.  Cuando esto suceda, hagamos nuestro este lema ignaciano – ‟Agere contra” – ¡hagamos lo opuesto y digamos JESÚS EN TI CONFIO!
