PRINCIPIO Y FUNDAMENTO
El hombre ha sido creado para adorar, alabar y servir a Dios; y con esto salvar su alma.

LEA nuevamente Principio y Fundamento en espíritu de oración. Hágalo todos los días de esta semana, antes de leer el pasaje bíblico. Asimílelo en lo hondo de su corazón y deje que empape su alma como roció de la mañana que desciende y empapa la tierra.
CUARTO DÍA: Mateo 14: 22-33 – Jesús camina sobre el agua; Pedro camina pero vacila.
- CONTEMPLACIÓN IGNACIANA. Trate de ver la escena con la vista de la imaginación. Contemplar es usar la imaginación e ir al “cine”. El protagonista principal es Jesús pero usted también forma parte del elenco.
- COMPOSICIÓN VER EL LUGAR. Los Apóstoles están en una barca en el lago de Galilea. Jesús no está con ellos. Está oscuro. Los Apóstoles tienen frío y están cansados. Están desanimados, tristes y frustrados. ¡Acompañemos! Usted también está ahí en la barca con ellos. Viva lo que ellos están viviendo. Comparta sus sentimientos y estado de ánimo.
- ES MUY TEMPRANO, ANTES DEL AMANECER. Piensan que es su imaginación, ¡parece como si alguien estuviera caminando sobre el agua! Se tallan los ojos porque piensan que es un espejismo.
- UN ESPÍRITU. ¡Pero,…no! No es simplemente un producto de su imaginación, ¡ES REAL! En realidad ven una figura, ¡es una persona! ¡Es alguien que conocen y se va acercando a ellos!
- ¡UN FANTASMA! Ellos están llenos de miedo. Comienzan a gritar con todas sus fuerzas: “¡¡un Fantasma!!”
- TEMOR. Tan grande y abrumador es su temor que se quedan paralizados. ¡No saben qué hacer o qué pensar! Ahora, analicemos nuestra propia vida: ¿Qué tan a menudo me paraliza a MI el temor? ¿Qué hago con mis temores e inquietudes ¿Cómo los afronto?
- VOZ DE JESUS. De repente en la oscuridad escuchan una voz reconfortante que les dice: “No tengan miedo, que Soy Yo.” ¡Suena como Jesús….es Jesús! Hágase usted esta pregunta: ¿Escucho YO la voz de Jesús que me llama?, ¿cómo me habla?, ¿cuándo me habla?, ¿cuáles son sus palabras?, ¿cómo es el tono de su voz? Digamos como Samuel en el Templo: “Habla Señor que tu siervo escucha.”
- LA OSADÍA DE PEDRO. Al oír la voz, Pedro atrevidamente –más bien audazmente- le dice a Jesús: “Señor si eres Tú, mándame ir a Ti”. ¡Qué acto de fe y confianza! ¿Dónde está mi audacia y confianza en Jesús?
- ¡VEN! Jesús le responde a Pedro con una sola palabra, le dice: ¡VEN!
- PEDRO CAMINA SOBRE EL AGUA. Pedro baja de la barca y comienza a caminar sobre el agua. Imagínese los ojos de asombro y lo que pasaba por la mente de los otros Apóstoles. ¿Cuál piensa usted que fue la reacción de los Apóstoles al ver que Pedro se bajaba de la barca en pleno mar? ¿Qué hubiera pensado usted? ¿Quizás pensaron que estaba loco, absolutamente fuera de sus casillas o que había perdido la razón? Sea como fuera, la realidad era que Pedro estaba caminando sobre el agua. ¿Alguna vez le ha retado Jesús a usted a que camine sobre el agua…a que deje su comodidad o su manta de seguridad? ¿Estaba dispuesto(a)?
- ¡HUNDIÉNDOSE! Sin embargo, Pedro no camina en el agua mucho tiempo antes de hundirse. ¿Por qué? Porque deja de mirar a los ojos de Jesús. Pedro se concentró mucho más en el problema que en el que “soluciona los problemas” – Cristo Jesús.” ¿Cuántas veces me he hundido en las olas de mis propias inseguridades, porque igual que Pedro me he concentrado más en el problema que en Él que “soluciona los problemas”? ¿Con qué frecuencia desvío mi mirada de Jesús y me concentro en otras cosas, personas, circunstancias y como resultado me hundo en las olas, envuelto hasta el punto de ahogarme.
- ¡SEÑOR, SÁLVAME! ¡Hundiéndose en el agua fría, Pedro grita en desesperación!
- LA MANO DE JESUS. Jesús reprende a Pedro con una mano –“¿Hombre de poca fe, por qué dudaste?” y luego con la otra mano lo sujeta y toma su mano firmemente. ¡Fíjese! Cuando camina de la mano con Jesús, puede caminar sobre el agua. Pero al soltarse, se hunde.
- FE FORTALECIDA. ¡Debido a este poderoso evento, la vida de Pedro y los Apóstoles cambia – ¡su fe se fortalece! ¿Con qué frecuencia Jesús nos desafía a que confiemos en Él? Jesús ahora le invita a que deje su pequeña barca y camine sobre el agua. ¿Escucha usted la voz del Señor que le llama, que le exhorta a que salga de la barca? ¿Está listo/a para aceptar el reto?
- BARCA. Una vez que Jesús sube a la barca con Pedro y los Apóstoles, navegan sobre las aguas tranquilamente. La barca se desplaza con velocidad y virtuosa facilidad hacia el otro lado del lago. Si queremos asegurar nuestra salvación como en tiempo del diluvio y el arca de Noé, debemos también permanecer en la barca – la Iglesia Católica.
COLOQUIO. Pida a Jesús que le ayude a ver lo que ha sido su vida. Jesús siempre le ha acompañado, nunca se ha apartado de su lado, vea cómo Jesús le ha ayudado en las dificultades. Pídale a Jesús que le ayude con eso que le está angustiando en este momento. Hable con Él acerca del reto que HOY le propone.
