PREPARÁNDOSE PARA EL NACIMIENTO DE JESÚS EN TU ALMA El CUMPLEAÑOS más importante en la historia de la humanidad es el cumpleaños de Nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo. La clave para experimentar la alegría exuberante y desbordante de la Navidad depende del tiempo, la energía y el esfuerzo que gastamos en prepararnos para este día. En resumen, la clave del éxito de la fiesta depende de la preparación previa a la fiesta.

La Iglesia enseña acerca de las tres venidas de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo: En la Encarnación históricamente, hace aproximadamente 2000 años (Jesús a nacido en Belén); Al final de los tiempos, esto lo decide Dios Padre; ¡Finalmente, y muy pertinente para nosotros en el momento presente es que Jesús viene constantemente por medio de la Gracia!

Por lo tanto, nos gustaría ofrecer un plan concreto sobre cómo podemos prepararnos para el Cumpleaños de Jesús en nuestra propia vida, nuestra propia mente, nuestro propio corazón, en lo más profundo de nuestra alma, por medio de su Gracia ahora mismo. Que María, la Madre de Dios, el buen San José y los santos ángeles de Dios nos ayuden con su intervención en este noble esfuerzo. Esperando que esta Navidad sea un cambio radical en nuestras vidas.

LIMPIAR EL ESTABLO _ Si no estamos viviendo en estado de Gracia, entonces nada sucede espiritualmente en nuestras vidas; somos como una rama muerta que cuelga de un árbol marchito. Por qué no tener el coraje, la confianza y la humildad para prepararse para hacer la mejor confesión sacramental en su vida? Limpie el establo interior de su vida de toda la suciedad, las telarañas, las manchas y los restos que pertenecen a la papelera de basura moral. Limpia los espacios íntimos de tu vida, para que Jesús pueda nacer en tí con inmenso y desbordante gozo.

SILENCIO. En esta temporada cantamos la famosa canción navideña Noche de paz, pero esta canción debería resonar en las profundidades de nuestras vidas espirituales ahora más que nunca, por que, en este tiempo que vivimos, entre los gritos agudos, ruidos fuertes, charlas constantes, noticias interminables, y un torbellino de contaminación constante es la causa de este ruido, el cual nos bombardea del Norte, Sur, Este, y Oeste. Y es entonces que ahora más que nunca necesitamos urgentemente silencio, silencio, silencio … ¿Para qué? Para que podamos escuchar la suave brisa de la voz de Dios hablar desde lo más profundo de nuestros corazones. Que las palabras del joven Samuel resuenen en nuestros corazónes: “Habla, Señor, porque tu siervo escucha.”

MEDITACIÓN BÍBLICA. Los momentos más importantes del año, que son tanto Adviento que lleva a la Navidad como la Cuaresma que culmina con el triunfo de la Pascua, la Iglesia exhorta con entusiasmo e insistencia a sus hijos a tener la Biblia, la Palabra de Dios en sus manos para la meditación. Que María Nuestra Señora, quien meditó sobre la Palabra de Dios en su Corazón Inmaculado, sea Ella nuestro modelo constante y espléndido. Si lo desea, medite sobre las lecturas bíblicas en la misa; ¡Este debe ser nuestro Pan diario.

¡LO SIENTO! ¡Quizás esas son las dos palabras que pueden transformar tu Navidad de amargura a una alegría desbordante! Recuerda lo que dice Jesús: «Si vienes a ofrecer un regalo y reconoces que algunos tienen algo en contra tuyo, deja tu regalo en el altar y ve a reconciliarte con tu hermano y luego regresa a ofrecer tu regalo …» Recuerda las palabras del gran poeta inglés. Alexander Pope: “Errar es humano; perdonar es divino».

CONQUISTA LA PEREZA. El poeta Dante presenta el contraste entre los pecados capitales y su virtud opuesta en la Divina Comedia, Purgatorio. La virtud opuesta a la pereza es la diligencia. Dante presenta a Nuestra Señora en la Visitación como modelo. Después de que María concibió a Jesús a través del ensombrecimiento del Espíritu Santo, María se apresuró a ayudar y servir a su prima Santa Isabel. A medida que se acerca la Navidad, así también como Nuestra Señora, avancemos apresuradamente para llevar a cabo las inspiraciones que Dios nos envía a través de Su Espíritu Santo. ¡No esperemos para mañana lo que podamos hacer hoy! La vida es corta y, como los santos dicen: «Trabajemos duro en esta vida y descansemos para siempre en el cielo». (San Pedro Canisio)

SAN JOSÉ. Una de las figuras más humildes, ocultas y discretas de la Biblia es el glorioso San José. De todos los santos, El es el más grande, siendo tanto el Esposo de María como el Padre terrenal de Jesús, su dignidad y santidad trasciende las estrellas. Fué el gran San José el que protegió a María; Fué este gran hombre el que encontró un lugar donde el niño Jesús pudiera nacer. Fué este mismo santo el que protegió al Niño Jesús de ser sacrificado por el malicioso Rey Herodes. ¿Por qué no elevar la mente y corazón en oración a San José e implorarle su intercesión por la Gracia de celebrar verdaderamente la Navidad con gran anhelo y un amor desbordante?

LOS OJOS ABIERTOS A LAS NECESIDADES DE LOS POBRES. Es cierto que Jesús nació en la pobreza extrema de un establo para animales. Sin embargo más tarde, en su predicación, Jesús enseñó en las Bienaventuranzas: “Bienaventurados los pobres de espíritu; porque de ellos es el reino de los cielos. ”(Mt 5, 3) Para capturar las profundidades más profundas de la Navidad, debemos tener ojos contemplativos para ver a Jesús aún hoy presente en los pobres, los enfermos, los abandonados, los ancianos, los marginados, los moribundos, los encarcelados. Lea y medite el capítulo que resume las obras corporales de misericordia — (Mt. 25: 31-46.) Examina tu camino diario y contactos que tienes durante el día. ¿Quién es esa persona hambrienta, pobre, desnuda, extranjera, enferma o encarcelada que Dios ha puesto en tu camino y es realmente Jesús? La Santa Madre Teresa de Calcuta lo expresó con estas palabras: «Debemos ver a Jesús con el angustioso disfraz de los pobres».

EL REGALO REAL DE LA NAVIDAD: ¡JESÚS MISMO! El nombre de Belén en realidad significa: Casa de Pan. Jesús en «El discurso del Pan de Vida» (Jn. Capítulo 6) se refiere a Sí mismo como el Pan de Vida que da vida al mundo. El significado más completo de la vida fuera del tiempo Navideño es vivir la Misa, «Navidad», la Misa de Cristo. Y, por supuesto, el punto culminante de la misa es la consagración que termina en la recepción de la Sagrada Comunión. Tu alma se convierte en realidad en «La pequeña casa de Belén». Un título de suma importancia para Jesús en Adviento y Navidad es Emmanuel: ¡Dios con nosotros! Jesús está verdaderamente con nosotros en la celebración de la Santa Misa y la recepción de la anta Comunión. En un sentido real, ¡la Navidad se puede vivir todos los días!

TRAIGA ALGUNAS OVEJAS PERDIDAS A LOS BRAZOS DEL BUEN PASTOR. El grupo religioso más grande en Estados Unidos, México, Europa y Filipinas son los católicos no practicantes. Estas son ovejas errantes, barcos sin puerto, flechas disparadas sin objetivo, conductores sin GPS o destino. Están vagando en la tierra de nadie y en el páramo (T.S. Elliot). ¿Por qué no en esta temporada navideña invita a uno de estos millones de personas a regresar a la ¿Iglesia? Invítalos a hacer una buena confesión sacramental, contándoles el amor y la misericordia del Corazón de Jesús. Luego, aliéntelos a volver a la práctica de vivir una vida sacramental ferviente. Recuerde las palabras de Santiago: «Hermanos, si alguno de ustedes se extraviará lejos de la verdad y otro lo hace volver, sepan que el que aparta a un pecador de su mal camino salva un alma de la muerte y hace olvidar muchos pecados. ”(Santiago 5: 19-20)

MARÍA Y EL MISTERIO DE LA NAVIDAD. Siguiendo los sólidos consejos de San Ignacio de Loyola y los ejercicios espirituales; ¿Por qué no entrar en una escena contemplativa de la Navidad? ¿Por qué no contemplar al Niño Jesús descansando en los brazos de Su Madre María? ¿Por qué no pedirle a María la gracia de llevar al Niño Jesús en tus propios brazos? Contemplalo; háblale; bese Su carita y dígale desde lo más profundo de su corazón lo agradecido que está por su venida para salvarlo, dígale cuánto lo ama por haber muerto por usted en la cruz y derramar cada gota de Su Preciosa Sangre para la salvación de tu alma inmortal. Para sondear las profundidades del Misterio de la Navidad, debemos entrar en el más puro e Inmaculado Corazón de María, que es la Madre de Dios, la Madre de la Iglesia y tu Madre.
