EL ABC DE LA DIVINA MISERICORDIA


Jesús le dijo a Santa Faustina que Su atributo más grande era Su Divina Misericordia.

 San Juan Pablo II reveló que el día más feliz de su vida fue el Domingo de la Divina Misericordia del año 2000. ¿La razón? Hubo tres razones para este desborde de alegría.

–PRIMERO, porque era el Domingo de la Misericordia.
–SEGUNDO, porque él canonizó a su primer santo en el nuevo milenio: Santa Faustina Kowalska.
–TERCERO, porque el Pontífice anunció oficialmente que ¡el Segundo Domingo después de Pascua sería el Domingo de la Divina Misericordia! Su alegría no tenía límites.

En este artículo nos gustaría presentar un acrónimo del abecedario de la Divina Misericordia con el cual intentaremos dar una idea separada de cómo entender y vivir la Divina Misericordia con cada letra del alfabeto (inglés).

Sin embargo, permítannos comenzar citando un texto de Divina Misericordia en mi alma de Santa Faustina Kowalska.

Éstas son las apasionadas palabras de Jesús que desea que toda la humanidad ame la misericordia y CONFÍE en Él completamente:

 

“Que las almas que tienden a la perfección adoren especialmente Mi misericordia, porque la abundancia de gracias que les concedo proviene de Mi misericordia.

Deseo que estas almas se distingan por una confianza sin límites en Mi misericordia. Yo Mismo Me ocupo de la santificación de estas almas, les daré todo lo que sea necesario para su santidad.

Las gracias de Mi misericordia se toman con un solo recipiente y éste es la confianza. Cuanto más confíe un alma, tanto más recibirá. Las almas que confían sin límites son Mi gran consuelo, porque en tales almas vierto todos los tesoros de Mis gracias.

Me alegro de que pidan mucho, porque Mi deseo es dar mucho, muchísimo. Me pongo triste, en cambio, si las almas piden poco, estrechan sus corazones.” (Diario N° 1578)


A – ¡ASIDUAMENTE LISTOS PARA PERDONAR!  Dios es lento para la cólera y pronto para la piedad, y ¡siempre está listo para perdonar! ¡Así debemos ser nosotros!

B – (Be) SER MISERICORDIOSO.  Sé misericordioso como tu Padre que está en los cielos es misericordioso. La misericordia es una calle de dos vías y no un callejón sin salida. ¡Dios nos perdonará y derramará Su misericordia sobre nosotros sólo si nosotros nos mostramos misericordiosos hacia los demás!

C – CARIDAD Y MISERICORDIA SON PRACTICAMENTE SINONIMOS. Caridad es amor sobrenatural, el amor que Dios tiene por nosotros y el amor que nosotros deberíamos tener por Dios. La misericordia de Dios es el abundante de Dios que perdona a los pecadores.

D – (Do) “HAZ A LOS DEMAS LO QUE QUIERAS QUE TE HAGAN A TI.” Ésta es la Regla de Oro. ¡Aplícala a la misericordia!

E – EUCARISTIA Y MISERICORDIA. Para el perdón de nuestros pecados, necesitamos las gracias abundantes de Dios y ellas vienen hacia nosotros a través de la Eucaristía, el Pan de la Vida…

F – (Forgive) PERDONA. Jesús dijo: «Padre perdónales que no saben lo que hacen». Perdona inmediatamente, ¡si no el corazón se endurecerá y se insensibilizará ante el ofensor!

G – (Give) ¡DA! “!Dad hasta que os duela!” Estas palabras de Santa Madre Teresa de Calcuta se refieren a la misericordia. No siempre es fácil, pero sí posible con la gracia de Dios.

H – (hallucination) ¡Ilusión. Esperanza por el cielo! Dios tiene Su recompensa celestial aguardando por aquellos que han pedido Su misericordia y que han dado libremente Su misericordia. «El buen ladrón murió como ladrón porque robó el cielo». (Fulton Sheen)

I – INSTANTANEO PERDON. Jesús perdonó en el acto al buen ladrón porque él confió totalmente en el Corazón misericordioso del Salvador. ¿Y tú? Dios puede perdonar pecadores en un abrir y cerrar de ojos si su arrepentimiento y confianza es total.

J – JESUS ES CENTRO. Jesús es el centro, la esencia, totalidad y océano de misericordia en Su misma Persona. ¡Jesús en vos confío!

K – KYRIE ELEISON. Conoce Su misericordia en la teoría, pero también en la práctica. Tradúcela a tu vida. Dios nos llama a estudiar y conocer su divina misericordia. ¿Por qué no leer el “Diario de Misericordia en mi alma” de Santa Faustina Kowalska?

L – (Love) AMOR. San Agustín dijo: “Ama a Dios y haz lo que quieras”. La misericordia y el amor son hermanas gemelas. ¿Por qué no leer el magnífico himno al amor de San Pablo – ¡1 Corintios 13!

M – MISERICORDIA. En latín, esta palabra está compuesta de dos partes: “miseria” – el pecado es miseria moral; y “cordia” – que significa ¡corazón! El corazón amoroso de Dios está siempre listo y dispuesto a aceptar nuestra miseria como el Padre y el Hijo Pródigo. Lee y medita la Parábola del Hijo Pródigo: Lucas 15;11-32.

N – ¡NO A LA VENGANZA! No deberíamos buscar venganza nunca, sino perdonar y ser misericordiosos. Deja los juicios a Jesús que vendrá a juzgar a los vivos y a los muertos (Credo).O – (Overflowing) DESBORDANTE AMABILIDAD Y MISERICORDIA. Jesús le dijo a Santa Faustina que Su misericordia es un abismo infinito, como un inmenso océano. ¡Incluso el más alto en rango de los ángeles no puede entender o comprender las profundidades de la misericordia del Corazón de Jesús!

P – ¡PAZ! Uno de los frutos extraodinarios de vivir la misericordia hasta lo más profundo es la paz interior en la mente, el alma y el corazón. ¡Los que buscan la paz son misericordiosos de corazón!

Q – (Queen) LA REINA. La Reina de la misericordia es María Santísima. En el Dios te Salve decimos:»Dios te salve Reina, Madre de Misericordia, vida, dulzura y esperanza nuestra…»

R – ¡REFUGIO! En todo momento y en todo lugar debemos buscar refugio en los corazones misericordiosos de Jesús y María. Sagrado Corazón de Jesús en vos confío. Sagrado Corazón de María se la salvación del alma mía.

S – ¡SALVACION! Nuestra salvación vendrá, más que nada en este mundo, de confiar en la infinita misericordia del Corazón de Jesús. Oremos:“Señor misericordioso, no seas mi juez sino mi Salvador misericordioso. Amén”.

T – (Trust) CONFIANZA. Jesús dijo a Santa Faustina que el peor de los pecados es la falta de fe en Él. Mientras más grande el pecador, más tiene derecho a la misericordia de Dios. Jesús dijo a Santa Faustina que los grandes pecadores del mundo pueden ser grandes santos, ¡si ellos simplemente confían! Oremos todos los días de nuestras vidas o incluso en nuestro lecho de muerte: ¡Jesús yo confío en ti!

U – UNIVERSAL EN SU MISERICORDIA. La palabra “Católico” en realidad significa universal. La misericordia del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús no se limita al tiempo, espacio o circunstancia, sino que está abierta a todos, si tan sólo – ¡Jesús en vos confiamos!

V – ¡VICTORIAS! Si hemos entendido la misericordia, amamos la misericordia y hemos vivido el mensaje y doctrina de la misericordia al máximo, entonces ¡seremos victoriosos! Habremos vencido y el bien merecido premio de la vida eterna nos aguardará. ¡Viva Cristo el Rey de la Misericordia!

W – (Washed) LAVADO. La confesión es el Sacramento de la infinita misericordia de Dios. Cada vez que he recurrido a esta fuente infinita de misericordia que es la Preciosa Sangre de Jesús, entonces ¡estoy inmerso en Su Infinita misericordia en el Sacramento por excelencia de la Misericordia!

X – ¡X! Jesús le dijo a Santa Faustina que hiciera una «X» y tachara sus pecados por completo por medio de la misericordia de Dios para comenzar una nueva vida. Con la confesión iniciamos una nueva vida; somos nuevas creaturas. En el Domingo de la Misericordia, habiendo confesado nuestros pecados y recibiendo la Sagrada Comunión, nuestra alma se torna tan blanca como la nieve; es casi como somos bautizados por segunda vez. Volvemos a la inocencia bautismal. ¡Alabado sea Dios en los cielos!

Y – ¡YO DIGO SI! Decir SÍ a Dios como María en la Anunciación. Nadie experimentó el amor y la gracia mejor que la Santísima Virgen María. En el Magníficat, himno de alabanza, ella exalta la misericordia de Dios: «Proclama mi alma la grandeza del Señor, se alegra mi espíritu en Dios mi Salvador… u misericordia llega a sus fieles de generación en generación».


Z – ZAMBULLIRNOS EN LA MISERICORDIA. Sé misericordioso como tu Padre que está en los cielos es misericordioso. La misericordia es una calle de dos vías y no un callejón sin salida. ¡Dios nos perdonará y derramará Su misericordia sobre nosotros sólo si nosotros nos mostramos misericordiosos hacia los demás! ¡Que nuestra Señora de la misericordia ruegue por nosotros!

Es asistente del párroco en la Iglesia de San Pedro Chanel en Hawaiian Gardens (California).
