EL SIGNIFICADO DEL MISTERIO PASCUAL

 

Todos los hombres están destinados a morir en castigo del pecado original. San Pablo dice: “La paga del pecado es la muerte”. Pero cada hombre tiene un entendimiento distinto sobre esta realidad y reacciona de manera distinta.

EL ATEO. El ateo es aquel que categóricamente niega la exitencia de Dios, piensa que nuestra existencia termina con la muerte, que no hay nada después de la tumba. El filósofo ateo Sartre y otros existencialistas con semejantes propuestas filosóficas adoptaron la postura que la vida es absurda y no tiene sentido. San Pablo acentúa, que si no hay nada después de la tumba, “comamos, bebamos que mañana moriremos.”

EL AGNÓSTICO. El agnóstico no acepta la exitencia de Dios y tampoco la niega; vive en un perpetuo desasosiego ante la incertidumbre; llamémosle un limbo filosófico. El agnóstico mantiene: ¡talvez Dios existe, talvez NO! Esta persona construye su casa, como dice Jesús, no sobre roca firme sino sobre arena. Cuando el viento tempestuoso de las nuevas corrientes culturales sopla, él se va con las corrientes.

EL HEDONISTA. El que sigue esta corriente, busca el placer por encima de todas las cosas, es decir, el placer personal es su fin último; el hedonista confunde el placer con la felicidad y teme la muerte porque le priva del placer. San Pablo lo describe así: «Su estómago es su dios.»

EL RACIONALISTA Y LA CIENCIA. El que sigue esta corriente, identifica todo y lo basa solo en el conocimiento de la ciencia, considera la matemática como ciencia ideal. Su vida la basa sólo en lo que se ve, toca, oye, gusta o huele, y nada más. Solo existe lo que método matemático confirma y no hay razón para dar credibilidad a lo que no se puede medir. Por supuesto, esta filosofía, o punto de vista, es diametralmente opuesta a la visión de la fe; la fe es certeza, convicción de lo que no se ve. Jesús con dulzura reprende a Tomás diciéndole: “felices los que creen sin haber visto.”

EL REENCARNACIONISTA. Hay quienes abrazan la idea de la reencarnación, la “rueda de exitencia”; uno nace, vive, muere y regresa a la vida terrena transformado en otra forma diversa de existencia.

Las cinco filosofías antedichas son el antítesis en sentido estricto, del cristianismo sobre el tema de la muerte y el sentido de la vida. El Cristiano cree con firmeza en el MISTERIO PASCUAL. ¿Qué es? La Persona de Jesucristo, su Encarnación, vida, muerte y Resurección; Jesús da el verdadero sentido a nuestra existencia, en terminos más específicos, la verdad de su muerte; todos pasaremos por ella cuando llegue la puesta del sol a nuestra vida mortal.

EL MISTERIO PASCUAL. EXPLICACION. La muerte entró al mundo por el pecado de nuestros primeros padres – Adán y Eva. ¡Cristo Jesús, nuestro Salvador, venció el pecado y la muerte! Esta es la escencia del Misterio Pacual. Misterio Pascual designa la Pasión, Muerte, Resurrección y Ascensión a los cielos de Jesús. Jesús fue crucificado y sepultado el Viernes Santo; es colocado en el sepulcro y su Cuerpo está en la tumba todo el día sábado. Era el amanecer del primer día de la semana, retiran la piedra, ¡El Señor resucita de entre los muertos. Todo encierra y es parte esencial del Misterio Pascual, es un conjunto de acontecimientos que consumen la salvación de todos los hombres e inaugural el tiempo nuevo de la Redención. La Iglesia aclama en la santa Misa después de la doble consagración: “Anunciamos tu muerte, proclamamos tu resurrección, ¡Ven, Señor, Jesús!

La Resurrección

JESUS NOS ABRE LAS PUERTAS DEL CIELO. El fruto de la Resurrección de Jesús de entre los muertos tiene un significado monumental! Todo el universo y la lamentable condición del hombre en la tierra cambia debido al Miserio Pascual – la passion, muerte y Resurreción de Jesucristo nuestro Señor; su triunfo sobre la muerte y nos abre las puertas del cielo. En efecto, el Misterio Pascua les el que da sentido a todo, nuestra vida y nuestra muerte.

FULTON SHEEN, LA MUJER CON LEPRA Y EL MISTERIO PASCUAL. El arzobispo Fulton J. Sheen relata una experiencia que tuvo al visitar una colonia de leprosos en donde conoció una mujer padeciendo de lepra, sus manos y pies deformados, e incluso, sin dedos y pies, pero en su rostro lleno de esperanza, decía: “¡Espero la resurrección, espero la resurrección, espero la resurrección.”   Esta mujer leprosa entendía que por el pecado de Adán y Eva, su cuerpo un día moriría, pero la muerte no tendría la última palabra! A la luz del Misterio Pascual de Cristo, la muerte es, en realidad, el ingreso en la plenitud de la vida y nunca más moriremos. Esta mujer comprendía que aunque en poco tiempo su vida terrenal acabaría, Jesús ha prometido la vida eternal a quienes creen en Él y cumplen sus Mandamientos.

EL MISTERIO PASCUAL Y NUESTRA VIDA. Al igual que esta mujer, un día también moriremos. Pero la muerte no tiene la última palabra, porque Jesús resucito de entre los muertos! Jesús en la Última Cena dijo: “Me voy a preparar un lugar para vosotros. En la casa de mi Padre muchas mansions hay; si así no fuera, yo os lo hubiera dicho.”  ¡Jesús tiene un lugar preparado para tí y para mí! Este es nuestro último destino.

Cerraremos con tres cortos consejos para ayudarnos en nuestro caminar hacia la patria celestial.

 

  • IMITEMOS A LOS SANTOS. Vivamos cada día como si fuese el último; porque en verdad podría serlo! Nadie tiene la certeza absoluta que tendrá vida mañana. San Alberto Hurtado, S.J decía: “Hay dos lugares para descansar: el cementreio y el cielo.” San Pablo nos dice: “Ocupaos en vuestra salvación con temor y temblor.” (Fil 2, 12)
  • NO DEJES TU CONVERSION PARA LUEGO, NO LA DILATES PARA MAÑANA. El mismo Señor Jesús comenzó así su predicación: “Arrepentíos porque está llegando el reino de los cielos.” Esta fue la misma enseñanza de Juan el Bautista y San Pedro: ¡Conviértanse hoy, no mañana!
  • INVOQUEMOS A MARIA. La siempre Virgen María presenció la muerte de quienes más amaba: su esposo, san José y su hijo, Jesús. Al cumplir su tiempo en la tierra, María fue asunta al cielo en cuerpo y alma. Procuremos rezar el santo Rosario ya que es la oración que más agrada a nuestra Madre Santísima, y a la vez estamos pidiendo 50 veces su ayuda: “Santa María, Madre de Dios, ruega por nosotros pecadores, ahora y en la hora de nuestra muerte. Amén.”
