ALÉGRENSE SIEMPRE EN EL SEÑOR

»Estén siempre alegres en el Señor; os los repito, estén alegres.»(Flp 4, 4)  ¡Cuán alentadoras son las palabras de san Pablo exhortándonos a estar siempre alegres!

San Ignacio de Loyola en la cuarta semana de los Ejercicios Espirituales – Contemplación de Jesús resucitado – insistentemente nos anima a que pidamos a Dios la gracia de estar gozosos.  No pidamos un gozo apagado o anémico sino ¡pidamos intensísimo gozo!   

La primera Exhortación Apostólica del Papa Francisco, dada el día de la Solemnidad de Cristo Rey es EVANGELII GAUDIUM – La alegría del Evangelio. (24 de noviembre de 2013)

Su predecesor, el Papa Pablo VI, escribió la obra maestra espiritual titulada GAUDETE IN DOMINO – Sobre la alegría cristiana.  Esta Exhortación Apostólica fue promulgada el 9 de mayo de 1975, y fue la décima segunda Exhortación de su pontificado.  El sucesor de Pedro, nos anima, ¡a que estemos alegres en el Señor!  En este documento el Papa nos expone el gozo del Antiguo y Nuevo Testamento, nos habla del gozo de los santos y nos habla del gozo del pueblo y los jóvenes.  Por motivo del año Jubilar (1975) el Papa nos habla especialmente del gozo.  El mundo entero está llamado estar alegre en el Señor!

Vemos también que nuestra Señora nos enseña en su sublime himno de alabanza, el Magnificat, el por qué de nuestra existencia y la fuente de nuestro gozo, diciendo: »Proclama mi alma la grandeza del Señor, se alegra mi espíritu en Dios mi Salvador…» (Lc 1,47)

Se cuenta que san Felipe Neri, conocido como el santo de la alegría, llevaba siempre un libro de chistes y bromas.  Él fue quién acuñó el dicho en italiano: »Tristeza y melancolía, fuera de casa mía.»

Por lo tanto, ¡esforcémonos por vivir el gozo del Evangelio, el gozo de Cristo resucitado, el gozo de los santos y el gozo de la Santísima Virgen María!  Presentaremos por consiguiente, cinco razones para  llenarnos de gozo.

1.  ¡INHABITACIÓN TRINITARIA!  La Santísima Trinidad habita y está presente en el alma del bautizado que vive en gracia.  Las tres divinas Personas, Dios Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo hacen su morada en el fondo del alma.  Esta realidad debería llenarnos de consuelo y de intensísimo gozo.  La teología de la »inhabitación trinitaria» ocupa lugar central y es característica distintiva de la espiritualidad carmelita un gran numero de santos como Teresa de Ávila, Juan de la cruz, Teresita de Lisieux, Benedicta de la cruz, Teresa de Andes y Elizabeth de la Trinidad.

2.  ¡CON UNA PEQUEÑA AYUDA DE MIS AMIGOS!  Deberíamos entonar esta canción de los Beatles de los años 60 y darle una nueva interpretación.  Jesús, María y José deben ser nuestros más íntimos amigos.  Pero también tenemos muchos otros amigos en el cielo, y a ellos les llamamos »los santos».  Los santos añoran nuestra amistad.  Las amistades que tengamos aquí en la tierra siempre se verán limitadas al tiempo y espacio.  Pero los santos no tienen esa limitación.  En el momento o lugar que deseemos, podemos elevar la mente y el corazón a ellos y ellos están con nosotros.  Los santos son amables, bondadosos, amorosos y pacientes, siempre están prestos para ayudarnos con inspiraciones, consolarnos y para animarnos en el camino al cielo.  ¡Que san Juan Pablo II y san Juan XXIII nos acompañen en nuestro peregrinar hacia el cielo!

3.  ¡DIVINA MISERICORDIA!  Dios es lento a la ira y rico en misericordia, nosotros somos prontos a la ira y lentos al perdón.  Que consuelo tan grande es el amor misericordioso de Dios hacia el mas grande pecador.  Porque cuando en la lucha enérgica contra el pecado caigamos, acudamos a nuestro Padre amoroso sin demorar – »Nunc coepi – Ahora comienzo».  ¡Cuán grande es nuestro Dios que nos perdona en menos de un instante, siempre y cuando le pidamos perdón!  Según reveló Jesús a santa Faustina, el pecado más grave es la desconfianza en la misericordia de Dios.  Nunca dejemos de arrepentirnos:  ¡JESÚS, EN TÍ CONFÍO!

4.  ESPÍRITU SANTO.  Entre los hermosos y poéticos títulos dados al Espíritu Santo están: »El Paráclito, el Consolador, el Dedo de Dios, el Santificador, Amor no creado, Dulce Huésped del alma.»  Entre los muchos frutos del Espíritu Santo está el GOZO!  Lea los Hechos de los Apóstoles y vea las muchas veces que se menciona la palabra GOZO.  Aun cuando los Apóstoles fueron arrestados, acusados falsamente, encarcelados y golpeados por el Nombre de Jesús, los Apóstoles se regocijaron.  Si el Espíritu Santo habita en nuestro corazón, el gozo es constante y desbordante.  Recordemos las palabras del apóstol San Pablo a los Filipenses: »Estad siempre alegres en el Señor; os lo repito, estad alegres.» ( Flp 4:4)  Con el Espíritu Santo huésped de nuestra alma, siempre debemos estar alegres. 

5.  CIELO!  La temporada de Pascua es una temporada de gran gozo en Cristo resucitado.  Es un tiempo de pensar y reflexionar del por qué Jesús vino al mundo, vivió entre nosotros, sufrió su amarga pasión y resucitó de entre los muertos.  Jesús lo hizo para darnos vida, y vida en abundancia.  Porque Jesús mismo dijo: »En la casa de mi Padre hay muchas mansiones; si no, os lo habría dicho; porque voy a prepararles un lugar.  Y cuando haya ido y os haya preparado un lugar, volveré y os tomaré conmigo, para que donde esté yo estén también ustedes.»  Qué gozo esta convicción, esta realidad de que Jesús ya tiene una mansión en el cielo para mí!  Deberías meditar más sobre la realidad del cielo por es nuestro destino.  San Pablo nos recuerda: »los aflicciones del tiempo presente no son comparables con la gloria venidera a los hijos e hijas de Dios…»  »Ni el ojo vio, ni el oído oyó, ni al corazón del hombre llegó, lo que Dios preparó para los que le aman.» (1 Cor 2, 9)

CONCLUSIÓN.  Elevemos el corazón, mente y alma y contemplemos a María, Madre de Dios, Madre de la Iglesia y Madre nuestra, y pidamos nos conceda la gracia de estar siempre gozosos.  Hagamos nuestra su cántico de alabanza: »Proclama mi alma la grandeza del Señor, se alegra mi espíritu en Dios, mi salvador; porque ha mirado la humillación de su esclava.» (Lc 1,47)
