El texto clásico catequético lo expresa de una forma muy parecida: »Somos creados para conocer a Dios, amar a Dios, servir a Dios en esta vida, para así estar con Él en el cielo por toda la eternidad.» Por consiguiente, como motivación en camino al cielo, se presentarán diez cosas maravillosas que nos esperan. »Como la cierva sedienta busca las corrientes de agua, así mi alma suspira por ti, mi Dios,» así nosotros deberíamos anhelar y ansiar estar con Dios. Que este anhelo nuestro, ¡se convierta en una realidad cuando Jesús nos acoja en el cielo! Aun la más viva imaginación es incapaz de comprender o sondear las maravillas que nos esperan en el cielo. Dice san Pablo: «Lo que ni el ojo vio, ni el oído oyó, ni al corazón del hombre llegó, lo que Dios preparó para los que le aman » (I Corintios 2,9).
DIEZ GRANDES BENDICIONES CELESTIALES
La ausencia de sufrimiento — Mientras en la tierra la vida es una lucha constante, hay dolor, sufrimiento y muchas inseguridades. En el cielo no habrá sufrimiento. El sufrimiento que hoy voluntariamente aceptamos de Dios, en reparación por nuestros muchos pecados, será una joya en nuestra corona de gloria. San Pablo nos recuerda: «El sufrimiento del tiempo presente no es nada en comparación con la gloria que le espera a los hijos e hijas de Dios.»
Paz absoluta — En el mundo acutal hay guerras y siempre ha sido así, vemos que en el principio Caín mató a Abel. Nuestra Señora de Fátima dijo, que el motivo detrás de las guerras mundiales y toda guerra en general es el pecado. Nuestra Madre Santisima dijo que si la gente no dejaba de pecar, una peor guerra mundial se desataría, y en verdad así sucedió, hubo una segunda guerra mundial. San Agustín define la paz como «la tranquilidad del orden». En el cielo, el orden es total y la paz universal. ¡Shalom! ¡La paz sea con vosotros!
¡Un gozo inalterable! — En este »valle de lagrimas» (Salve Regina) para muchos hoy en día, ¡su estado emocional se puede comparar a una montaña rusa! Sucede en nuestra vida terrena, que un día estallamos de gozo; estamos en la cima de la montaña rusa; al día siguiente vamos «de bajada» y nos ciega por completo una nube de desolación. Pero en el cielo no será así. En el cielo, nuestro gozo será completo. Jesús dijo que Él vendrá a nosotros y nuestro gozo será completo! Jesús es el motivo de este gozo, ¡porque estaremos siempre con Él!
¡Luz permanente! — Esa primera noche de Jueves Santo, Judas dejó
a Jesús y entró en una noche de profunda oscuridad — ¡un símbolo muy claro
del pecado! El pecado es dejar a Jesús,
y entrar en una espesa oscuridad! En el
cielo el rostro de Jesús brillará sobre nosotros sin cesar y no tendremos
necesidad de alguna otra luz, el rostro de Dios será nuestra luz y nunca
desvanecerá o se extinguirá! Jesús es la
«Luz del mundo» y será nuestra Luz en el cielo por toda la eternidad! Señor, mientras esté yo en esta tierra, ¡esparce
toda oscuridad que tenga en el fondo de mi alma!
No habrá enfermedad — No sólo estaremos
libres de cualquier tipo de sufrimiento, sino también libres de toda enfermedad
— emocional, física, moral, espiritual, social y psicológica —libres de
todo el espectro de enfermedades. Una de
las consecuencia del Pecado Original es el efecto debilitador del cuerpo y esto
abre paso a la enfermedad. En el
cielo no será así. ¡Los médicos no
tendrán más pacientes!
Los santos — Los santos serán
nuestros mejores amigos por toda la eternidad. En este mundo aun las mejores relaciones
humanas pueden fracasar. ¡Pero no es así
en el cielo! Todos los santos serán
nuestros amigos y para siempre. Ellos
son las «obras maestras del Espíritu Santo» (el beato Papa Juan
XXIII). Son alegres, dinámicos, fuertes,
inteligentes, cariñosos, atentos, cautivadores y carismáticos — estas palabras
descriptivas nos dan una pequeña idea de las cualidades de los los santos. Ellos serán tus mejores amigos y tu lo serás
de ellos. Tu diálogo de amistad con
ellos puede ser en cualquier momento, ¡el tiempo que lo desees y con una total
transparencia! Puedes entrar en diálogo
con uno de los santos, con dos, ¡o con muchos a la vez! ¡Deberíamos anhelar estar en el cielo
para estar con estos entrañables amigos!
Los ángeles — Y como si fuera poco tener como mejor amigos a todos los
santos, hay más — ¡los ángeles! Los
ángeles son superiores a los santos en el poder de su intelecto y en la
intensidad de su voluntad. Igual que los
santos, los ángeles serán nuestros compañeros y amigos para toda la
eternidad. Santo Tomás de Aquino los
divide en jerarquías llamadas coros: Serafines, Querubines, Virtudes, Tronos,
Dominaciones, Potestades, Principados, Arcángeles y Angeles. Hay miríadas de ángeles y cada uno es una
especie a sí mismo. Mientras que en la
tierra nuestro ángel de la guarda está siempre pendiente para protegernos de
los incontables enemigos y circunstancias que nos podrían hacer tropezar y caer
en pecado, ¡en el cielo ya no será necesario!
Tanto nuestro ángel de la guarda y los ángeles, igual que la multitud de
los santos, ¡serán nuestros mejores amigos!
La Santísima Virgen María — «Dios te salve, Reina y Madre, Madre de misericordia,
vida y dulzura, esperanza nuestra…»
En el cielo ya no estaremos en este valle de lágrimas… La nube de tristeza y desesperación
causados por el pecado desaparecerán. Un
sinnúmero de los mejores artistas han tratado de captar en pintura la
majestuosidad, grandeza y la belleza de la Santísima Virgen María, ¡pero se han
quedado muy cortos! Pasó una vez que un
artista pintó una imagen sorprendentemente hermosa de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes
y se la presentó a la «vidente», santa Bernardita. A pesar de la notable belleza de la pintura,
santa Bernardita sólo podía responder con aire de tristeza, «No, ella es
mucho más hermosa, más hermosa, mucho más hermosa… Ningún pintor en el mundo, incluso el más
grande, puede pintar o sería capaz de captar en pintura, la gloriosa majestad y
belleza de María la Madre de Dios. Por
ello san Juan Berchmans, S.J. declaró:
«Quiero mantener mis ojos puros en este mundo, para así contemplar en el
cielo con mayor claridad la belleza de la rostro de María.» En el cielo María será nuestra alegría,
¡nuestra esperanza y nuestra Madre por toda la eternidad!
Jesús nuestro hermano mayor y
nuestro mejor amigo — Aún de mayor magnitud será la
presencia de Jesús. En este campo de
batalla constante que es la tierra, tristemente podemos perder amistad con
Jesús debido al pecado mortal. Una vez
que hayamos cruzado la línea de meta, que hayamos llegado a la meta final, y
cuando hayamos ganado el galardón de la «medalla de oro de gracia»,
¡Jesús será nuestro amigo, compañero, Señor, Dios, Salvador y Nuestro Rey por
toda la eternidad! Todos nuestros más
profundos anhelos se cumplirán en la Persona y la presencia de Jesús nuestro
Señor.
La Santísima Trinidad — La soledad, el aislamiento, la separación y el abandono —
estas realidades dolorosas son inexistentes en el cielo. ¡El cielo es una familia! Los santos, los ángeles, la Santísima Virgen
María y Jesús, pero hay más… En su
naturaleza Dios es familia; es la
Santísima Trinidad—el Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo. Dios será nuestro Padre amoroso por toda la
eternidad; El Hijo (Jesús) será nuestro hermano mayor para siempre; el Espíritu
Santo será eternamente nuestro amigo íntimo.
Les amaremos y nos amarán y seremos envueltos en este vínculo
interminable de amor.
