EL AMIGO DE TODOS LOS AMIGOS: JESÚS EL SEÑOR! El Buen Pastor, el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida, la Puerta al Cielo, el Pan de la Vida, el Cordero de Dios que quita los pecados del mundo, el Alfa y Omega (comienzo y fin), la Luz del mundo, el Príncipe de la paz, Salvador Redentor, el Hijo de Dios y el Hijo de María, la Razón de nuestra vida y el propósito de nuestra existencia—-todos estos son los títulos de una persona y esa persona es JESUCRISTO! Todavía otro título que debería añadirse a los interminables títulos de honor, dados al más grande hombre caminado sobre la faz de la tierra, y ese título es, AMIGO. Jesús no es un Dios impersonal—como los deístas creen–sino más bien un Dios personal, que está muy involucrado en nuestras vidas.
Tanto es así que, Él se convirtió en uno de nosotros, en la Encarnación. Es una definición breve pero excelente definición catequética de Jesús, «El hijo de Dios, hecho hombre». Se convirtió en uno de nosotros, como nosotros en todos los sentidos, comiendo, bebiendo, durmiendo, llorando, sufriendo, gozando, excepto en una forma: Él nunca pecó!
En la Última Cena Jesús dijo que Él amaba a los suyos y Él los amó hasta el final. En este sublime momento, poco antes de que Él, sería torturado, crucificado y ser drenado de cada gota de Su Sangre Preciosa, para nuestra salvación, Él se dirigió a los apóstoles, de una manera muy entrañable, amorosa e inolvidable, diciendo: «Yo no los llamo siervos, pero los llamo AMIGOS porque el siervo no sabe lo que el AMO hace…» Ser llamado AMIGO de Jesús, fue dirigido a los Apóstoles, y también dirigido a usted y a mí. Jesús anhela, ansía y desea con un corazón ardiente, en entrar en profunda AMISTAD con usted ahora mismo. Vamos a ver cómo!
1. CONOCERLO! Entrar en el hábito de la lectura, la meditación, la reflexión y la oración sobre la Palabra de Dios cada día. Recordar las palabras de San Jerónimo, «La ignorancia de las Sagradas Escrituras es ignorancia de Cristo». Encontrar un tiempo, un lugar, buena voluntad y rogar la asistencia del Espíritu Santo; es verdaderamente el Espíritu Santo, que nos revela quien, es Jesús realmente. (Leer Hechos de los Apóstoles)
2. HABLAR CON ÉL. Jesús anhela que simplemente abras tu corazón y que hables con él. San Ignacio de Loyola le llama a esto, un «Coloquio»—que significa entrar en una conversación de corazón a corazón con el Señor. La elocuencia, el inglés perfecto y las expresiones poéticas, todas estas, no son necesarios para hablar con el Señor. En realidad, Santa Teresa de Ávila especifica esta nota en la oración: Entre mas profunda la oración, es mas simple y mas efectiva—quiere decir, es más del corazón!
3. PREOCUPACIONES! Todos tenemos inquietudes, preocupaciones, estrés, tensiones, temores, dudas y muchas inseguridades. ¿Por qué no simplemente, abrir tu corazón y expresarle al Señor con la máxima sinceridad, que es lo que te está molestando, ahora mismo. No tengan miedo! (Lema del Papa Juan Pablo II). El señor es, el mejor de los oyentes y el mejor de los amantes. Él te invita a venir y arrojar todas sus preocupaciones en El. «Vengan a mí todos los que están afligidos y agobiados (con preocupaciones y problemas), y yo los aliviaré. Carguen sobre ustedes mi yugo y aprendan de mí, porque soy paciente y humilde de corazón, y así encontrarán alivio. Porque mi yugo es suave y mi carga liviana”.(Mat 11:28-30)
4. ALEGRÍAS. Igualmente importante, con alegría corra hacia el señor, rebose su gozoso y exuberante corazón; sus alegrías, éxitos, victorias y días soleados! Él quiere participar y aumentarlos aún más. “Alégrense siempre en el Señor. Vuelvo a insistir, alégrense en el Señor” (Fil.4:4)
5. PLANES. Todos tenemos planes, objetivos, sueños, aspiraciones, proyectos que están presentes en nuestras mentes y en nuestros corazones. ¿Por qué no llevar todos estos al Señor. Él está muy interesado en sus planes. Jesús es Arquitecto, Constructor, Artista, Creador y «Maestro de Planes». En todos ellos, Él es, más organizado, ordenado y eficaz. Pídale que le bendiga sus proyectos, que le ayude a llevarlos a una exitosa conclusión, y llevar adelante un éxito indescriptible. El salmista resume perfectamente el concepto: «Señor, dar éxito a la labor de nuestras manos; da éxito a la labor de nuestras manos…. TAMBIÉN… «Si el Señor no construye la casa, en vano trabajan los obreros…» muchas veces nuestro trabajo resulta en nada; vamos a ninguna parte, rápido (como caminando sobre una trotadora o un hámster en la rueda) por la sencilla razón que no invitamos al Señor en nuestros proyectos. Invítalo y el éxito es tuyo!
6. TENTACIONES. Parte y componente del dilema humano es la realidad de la tentación. La Biblia dice claramente esta verdad, que nuestra vida en la tierra es, una batalla y que si queremos seguir el señor debemos—como soldados buenos y bien entrenados–preparar el campo de batalla! Jesús, como pionero y modelo para nosotros, pasó antes que nosotros y nos enseñan a derrotar las tentaciones que nos asaltan a diario, puesto que él mismo fue tentado en el desierto. (Lectura Mt 4). Oración, el ayuno, el poder de la palabra de Dios que, es como una espada de doble filo, separando el hueso de la médula—eran las armas que el Capitán de nuestra fe, triunfó sobre el Diablo. En tentaciones, llama al Señor! «No nos dejes caer en tentación, y líbranos de todo mal…(El padre nuestro).
7. PECADO. Incluso si pecamos, nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo nos ama a nosotros y aún más. Cuando Jesús llamo a Mateo y fue invitado al banquete que Mateo había preparado para El, los fariseos criticaron a Jesús porque, comía con publicanos y pecadores. Jesús defendió enérgicamente a los pobres y a los pecadores con estas palabras claras y penetrantes: «los sanos no necesitan médico, sino los enfermos. No he venido a llamar a los justos, sino a los pecadores.» Su pecado no le debería alejar de Jesús, pero si ser, una plataforma de lanzamiento en sus brazos amorosos. (Recuerde la parábola del hijo pródigo / «Padre Misericordioso»). «Donde abunda el pecado, la Misericordia de Dios abunda más.» Nunca olvidar! El mayor atributo del corazón de Jesús es Su Infinita Misericordia. JESÚS CONFÍO EN TI!
8. ENFERMEDAD! Recuerde los Evangelios y los «Favoritos» de Jesús! Quienes eran! No los ricos, adinerados, cómodos, acomodados, los millonarios! Por el contrario! Los ciegos, los sordos, los mudos, los leprosos, los paralíticos, los exiliados, los marginados, los residuos de la sociedad—todos estos eran los «Favoritos» del Señor. Jesús voluntariamente y con alegría sanó al paralítico, bajado por el techo. Tú y yo somos el paralítico! Estamos paralizados mentalmente, a veces físicamente, a menudo emocionalmente y siempre moralmente—porque somos pecadores! Sin embargo, esto es precisamente el “porque” Jesús vino al mundo, como Médico Divino a sanar nuestras flaquezas, pero sobre todo de nuestras flaquezas morales y espirituales. ¿Esta buscando un Doctor/Médico? ¿Por qué no trata a Jesús, cuyo nombre significa «Dios salva!»
9. COMPARTIR TU AMIGO CON LOS DEMÁS! Andrés no podía contener su alegría desbordante al encontrarse con el «Tesoro de Su vida»—la persona y amistad de Jesús, el Señor. El amor de Dios nos obliga, como Pablo afirma, y Andrés corrió hacia Pedro su hermano, para informarle que había encontrado al Señor. Jesús vio a Pedro y lo llamo Roca! Esta sería la roca sobre la cual Él construiría, su iglesia—la Iglesia Católica con el Papado! Pero empezó con Andrés, lleno de entusiasmo, en compartir su «Tesoro»—Jesús el Señor con Pedro! Piensa! ¿Qué persona en tu vida, ahora usted puede traer a Jesús! Ser lo suficientemente valiente para aceptar el reto! Santiago nos consuela con el hecho de que si traemos un alma errante hacia el señor muchos de nuestros pecados son desagraviados y nosotros salvaremos nuestras propias almas. (Santiago 5)
10. MARÍA Y JESÚS. Sin duda, el camino más eficaz, mas rápido, más seguro para encontrar, cultivar y crecer en la «Amistad» con Jesucristo, es a través, de la persona que lo conocía mejor, lo amaba más ardientemente, le tuvo en su vientre por nueve meses, vivió con él durante 30 años, le siguió como su primer y mejor discípulo, se encontraba bajo la Cruz cuando Él estaba muriendo y se regocijo en la contemplación de Él, en Su gloriosa resurrección! Por supuesto, se trata de la Virgen María. Vaya a María; vaya a su Inmaculado Corazón y ella le asegurará un puerto seguro y un refugio en el Sagrado Corazón de Jesús que ella misma formó, dentro de su vientre más puro.
