MANOS DE JESUCRISTO Santa Teresa de Ávila revela el secreto de la Unión profunda en la oración: contemplar la humanidad de Cristo. En una ocasión, Santa Catalina de Siena tuvo el privilegio de contemplar simplemente la «Mano» de Cristo, que catapultó, la «Doctora de la Iglesia» en éxtasis. Ver más, ella habría muerto de amor! ¿Por qué no, contemplar las «manos de Jesús el Señor»!

1. LAS MANOS DE JESÚS EN LAS MANOS DE MARÍA. Una contemplación muy tierna y conmovedora es ver a Jesús como un bebé en los brazos de María. Sin embargo, centrándose en María suavemente, con gran ternura, que es característico de una madre, sosteniendo las manos de Jesús. Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro, esta cargando a Jesús en sus brazos, Su sandalia desamarrada y cayéndose, y Él, le esta cogiendo la mano a María. Ese «Niño Jesús» en los brazos de María eres tú y yo, y estamos invitados a aferrarnos a la mano de María.

2. CALLOSAS, SUCIAS, ENDURECIDAS MANOS DE JESÚS EL CARPINTERO. Como el joven Jesús trabajó largas, duras y agotadoras horas en el taller de carpintería, al lado de San José. Clavando piezas de madera, aserrando y ajustando, lijando a nivel, levantando piezas pesadas de madera–todo este trabajo duro, resultaría en manos endurecidas, callosas y manos sucias. Este «Trabajo-Sagrado-de -manos» nos enseña el valor del trabajo duro y que debemos utilizar nuestras manos para construir el Reino de Dios y salvar almas!

3. LAS MANOS DE JESÚS ABRAZANDO Y BENDICIENDO A LOS NIÑOS. Jesús dijo, «dejen que los niños vengan a mí. A menos que sea como un niño, usted no puede entrar el Reino de los cielos.» BENDICIONES! Estas Manos Sagradas desean bendecirlo a usted, a sus hijos y a toda su familia. Que los Papas/padres les concedan la bendición de Jesús, a sus hijos cada noche antes de retirarse.

4. MANOS DE JESÚS TOCANDO LOS OJOS DE LOS CIEGOS. Jesús es la «luz del mundo» que vino a expulsar la oscuridad y el Príncipe de este mundo–es decir, a destruir el pecado y expulsar al Diablo! Píde a las manos de Jesús, que toque sus ojos, para que usted le pueda ver más claramente cada día en la Palabra de Dios, en las personas que conoce, en las circunstancias de su vida y en el «Pan de Vida».
5. MANOS DE JESÚS TOCANDO LOS «INTOCABLES»: LOS LEPROSOS! En tiempo de Jesús, los excluidos de la sociedad, considerados el desecho de la tierra, eran los leprosos. Llagas en el cuerpo, extendidas de una parte a otra, emitiendo un olor nauseabundo, altamente contagioso–síntomas de lepra–fue visto en la perspectiva mundana, como castigo de Dios. Tan grave fue el sufrimiento que tuvieron que vivir en colonias separadas de la sociedad y el grito de «Impuro» cuando otros se les acercaban. Totalmente contracultural, lleno de amor, compasión y rompiendo todas las reglas de etiqueta y Protocolo—(debido a Su gran amor)—Jesús realmente tocaría al leproso.

Sin embargo, en lugar de contraer la enfermedad altamente contagiosa, Jesús podría sanarlo instantáneamente! Mis amigos, Bienvenido al «club de leprosos»! Somos todos leprosos de concepción y nacimiento, debido al pecado Original y del pecado actual. Buenas Noticias! Hay un «Doctor» en la casa. 6. LAS MANOS DE JESÚS CALMAN LA TORMENTA. La tormenta descendió violentamente sobre el lago de Galilea, y los apóstoles estaban en el barco. Petrificados por el miedo, habían llamado a Jesús quien estaba durmiendo. (La única vez que nosotros encontramos a Jesús durmiendo en la totalidad de los Evangelios, es en lago, medio de la tormenta!!!! Lección para nosotros en la confianza!) Totalmente en control de la naturaleza y la tormenta, Jesús surge, estira sus manos y clama: «calma” La tormenta disminuyó inmediatamente y en seguida una calma total! En las interiores tormentas de nuestra vida, debemos llamar a Jesús, invitarlo a la barca de nuestra vida y pedir que levante Sus manos poderosas para calmar la tempestad! Jesús es tan poderoso en la actualidad, como fue Él, hace 2000 años. Su poder (o la falta de el) es proporcional a nuestra fe. «Señor, yo creo, pero fortalece mi fe».

7. LAS MANOS DE JESÚS LEVANTA A LOS MUERTOS. Murió una niña de doce años. Llamaron a Jesús y entró en la habitación y tomó a la niña de la mano. Jesús «Sanadora y Sagrada mano» levantó la chica, trayéndola de la muerte a la vida «Talitha Cum!» Niña, levántate! Inmediatamente, ella se levantó de la muerte, caminó alrededor de la sala y sus padres estaban atónitos. Las manos Jesús todavía pueden resucitar a los muertos de su tumba, si realmente creemos. Jesús vino a traer vida y vida en abundancia!

 8. LAS MANOS DE JESÚS BENDICIENDO Y PARTIENDOLO! Sencillamente en la Iglesia, en los Sacramentos, pero en el más poderoso forma en Su «Presencia Real» en la Eucaristía. Ambas, En la última cena y en la pequeña casa en Emaús, Jesús hizo lo mismo con Sus Sagradas Manos. «Tomó pan, bendijo el pan, lo partió pan y dio el pan… Todos estos gestos se realiza mediante Su Manos Sagradas!

 9. LAS MANOS DE JESÚS EXTENDIDAS Y CLAVADAS EN LA CRUZ. Nuestra meditación/contemplación estaría lejos de ser completa, si se omite el gesto más amoroso de Jesús en la tierra: su muerte por nosotros en la Cruz! Jesús extendió Sus Sagradas Manos sobre la madera de la Cruz y permitió que brutalmente fueran perforadas con clavos. El martillo, los clavos, los impactos, el derramamiento de sangre—todo desde estas Sagradas Manos, que bendijo a los niños, abrió los ojos de los ciegos, limpió a los leprosos, levantó a los muertos, cogió las manos de María. Cuánto debemos de adorar la Sagrada Humanidad de Jesús, contemplando estas manos manchadas de sangre.

 10. LA DIVINA MISERICORDIA Y LAS MANOS DE JESÚS. En la conocida imagen de la Divina Misericordia, se destaca el Jesús resucitado, vestido con una túnica blanca, cabeza rodeada de luz, dulce y amoroso rostro que inspira confianza. Además, Jesús con su mano derecha extendida, él bendice el mundo; con su mano izquierda apuntando a su sagrado corazón perforado, dos rayos fluyen como una corriente de gracia, una roja, el otro de un color más claro. Ambos, nos recuerdan la Pasión, Viernes Santo, cuando el soldado con su lanza perforó el corazón de Jesús.

El «rojo» simboliza la Eucaristía; el color más claro, Bautismo y la Confesión. Sus Manos Sagradas apuntan al símbolo de Su amor para toda la humanidad: Su Sagrado Corazón, atravesado con una lanza. Que las Sagradas Manos de Jesús sean extendidas sobre usted, su familia, su hogar y todos los que usted tiene y lo que usted va a realizar. Que estas Manos Sagradas, que usted ha meditado, lo bendiga con las gracias más abundantes. Que nosotros caminemos de la mano con Jesús y María a través de esta vida, valle de lágrimas, hasta que nos reunamos en el cielo!
