Father Broom gives a homily to the children (ages 8 through 13) about the reality of life and death. He tells the children about bringing the Sacraments to a dying mother. He tells them about the great sanctity of St. Dominic Savio who died at 14 years old. St. Dominic achieved a high degree of holiness at an early age and so can these children! Once they know that the most important thing in this life is to get to Heaven, they can become great saints too!

Father Ed Broom OMV is a member of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary and is Associate Pastor at St. Peter Chanel Church in Hawaiian Gardens California.
